With Vladimir Karparov (BG), Diego Piñera (UY), Roberto Badoglio (I) and Andreas Brunn (D), FOR FREE HANDS is perceived as part of the international jazz community living in Berlin. Furthermore, there has been an interesting extension on our band project. Alaa Zouiten (MAR) is another very interesting instrumentalist who represents the musical traditions of Morocco and modern oud sounds in equal measure. The video presents one of the preparatory concerts before the CD recordings. The concert at Jazzclub Schlot was totally sold out!
We recorded our new wonderful CD “The passing on of the fire” in the TUNE IN Studio in spring. It has just been released by our record company LAIKA Records. In our current line-up musicians from 5 nations play together - Berlin . Sofia . Rome . Montevideo . Rabat !
