Soo if i'm correct this hero is themed off of Ching Shih(Also known as Zheng Yi Sao), Infamous Chinese Pirate Queen of the Red Flag Fleet. Suppose to be the most ruthless and greatest pirate of her time(even to today!) If so the Flag is also similer to her own if you look it up.(also recalls Tiandi being mistaken for a pirate because people thought their Dao(Blade) was a Cutless) The weapon this latest hero is using seems to look like a Butterfly Sword if im not going blind.

Keep in mind the season’s menu theme is already out, and it’s distinctly Chinese or at the very least, oriental. So those trying to find ways to think it might be a Viking or something, just give up honestly. There’s like a tiny chance it’s a samurai hero, especially given the Wako pirates of Japan. But let’s be real, it’s most likely Wu Lin.

The only significant spears aside from the basic yari and the variations of the yari and the naginata are the Kumade and sode-garami. The kumade is a stick with claws at the tip and the sode garami is a pitchfork on a longer shaft.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this character might either be as close as they can get to Shay, or at the least a Shay like character. Going off context clues from both this trailer of frozen passes, red and black definitions and the obvious take of "Rogue" at the end. As well as clues from the stream, primarily being that of the head/shoulder piece that has a Assassins symbol on its forehead. Could totally be wrong, and they might just be teasing this into that light to get people to think this way, but a Wu Lin, or just in general Shay like character would be very cool to see.

What upsets me most is the new hero is clearly a pirate and yet they never time the hero release with the new season. So you don’t get any of the themed effects, executions, or outfits from the battle pass to use on the new hero. Also it’s either a samurai or wu Lin cause of the ship design it arrives on. It could be another knight cause the way the silhouette appears along with the weapon being a cutlass. If it is a knight I’m gonna be extremely disappointed cause the knight faction has way to many hero’s out numbering the other factions. I pray it’s a wu Lin since they have the least number of hero’s so they could use the help. Also hoping it’s a vanguard and not an assassin, but that just a personal preference.

Looking at this now with knowledge of the new ornaments, this is confirmed to be an assassins creed related hero, or at least an event. Breaking news: the new character will only have light attacks, they will be 100ms, only do 1 damage to the enemy and only take 1 stam. This cannot be infinitely changed but if you hold down on the right stick you can close your eyes and spam rb!
