Not what I read. The reason their skin is deformed is because the ritual involves pouring acid onto your arms so they resemble serpent scales. Jormungandrs like Hulda poured acid entirely over their bodies to flex their devotion.

The art in the background in combination with this great music just makes me think back to the Mad Max game from 2015 and it’s what I imagine rather than anything to do with For Honor.
