Precisely. Some Christian song writers just write to write, and a lot of times it doesn't really make sense, or have a specific meaning. But, with 4KingandCountry, they have a message they want to give out, and all of their lyrics match what they want you to know. It ALL makes sense, and it ALL cooridinates with the point of the song. This song, I love a lot, because a lot of people are unstable, and this song tells us we are steady even in our darkest time.

I love this band so much. I was raised Christian but have lately fallen into more of an agnostic lifestyle. However, whether I connect to the songs on a religious level, or whether they're just comforting because I think of friends and family, it's still beautiful. The only time I ever really feel drawn back to my Christian roots is when I listen to their music. Maybe one day it will take me back there. But even if it doesn't, they've battled my mental illness with me, and I owe them everything. *EDIT:* Thanks to all the well-wishers in the comments! I'm actually pagan now! Their music is still inspiring but thanks to the confidence they helped me gain, I now know that I'll never be returning to Christianity. I'm happy to say that I'm living my best life now!

GalaxyPandaKiko, right? this is such an awesome band and song. They got me through my freshman year of college when my family was having some really rough times, and they are still such a joy to listen to. I'm sorry that you have battled mental illness, but I'm glad you are still fighting. I know this comment was a year ago, how are you doing now? I don't know that I officially have depression, but whatever I have gone through has been a war and so confusing and painful. Honestly music like this is some of the best to listen to when you're down and when you don't know how to take the next step. But God carries us through, and I believe that maybe He is trying to get your heart's attention. He works through Christian/worship music like this, through the beauty of nature, the awesome display of the universe, and even through our worst trials and hardships to make us long for Him and to bring us close to Him. We were designed to know Him and His glory and to be satisfied in and known by Him. Without Him, our sprits are dead and we are filled with depravity. We are all born wanting nothing to do with Him. But God sent His Son to die and rise again to show Himself as both righteous and just, and to make sure that through Jesus, we would no longer have to be slaves to our sin and depravity, the thing that ultimately destroys us and is full of empty promises, and to death and to burdens like mental illness. Jesus, the most high Son of God, faced depression too, the night before he was crucified. I find so much comfort in that. He fell on His face and cried and said He felt like He was going to die because He knew what was coming. But for the joy of rescuing us and bringing His Father glory, He willingly obeyed God's command and went to the cross. God's plan all along was to rescue humanity from its brokenness, after we turned from Him, and the only way that could happen was by Jesus, God Himself, taking on human flesh and dying in our place because the gap between us and God was too great for us to bridge through our good works. So Jesus took our sin and the wrath of God against sin that we deserved upon Himself so that we can be counted righteous before God and have eternal relationship with Him and real life. And there is nothing we go through, including our worst temptations, that Jesus has not experienced. But He overcame them and He overcame the grave. Jesus has won the war against the real enemy, our sin which separates us from God and condemns us, and even when everything on earth fails us and is not eternal, He is eternal and He is good and He fills the emptiness within us. He doesn't promise that life will be perfect, but He promises that He will never, ever leave us to face it alone, even when we mess up. And one day, if we trust Him, He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more pain. It is worth the fight. I'm sorry for this long comment, and I'm not trying to force you to believe something you don't want to. You have the freedom to choose. But I pray that God would open your eyes to the beauty and the life found in His Gospel, that you will know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Your heart and your flesh may fail, but God never will:) He will keep you steady. It may sound too good to be true, but just seek Him and bring your doubts and fears and He will gladly show you who He is. He will keep your tears in a bottle. He knows you so well and wants you to experience the joy of knowing Him. Even if you don't except His gift, it will always be there. Again, sorry this is sooo long. If any of that did not make any sense, I will be glad to clarify. It's so hard to explain sometimes. By the way, how do you like FK&C's new album?:)
