I had never dated since internet....when my husband died, my sons TAUGHT me how to background check, make myself less vulnerable and they had my permission and dating site information to read profiles and show me the scammers....older people need to ask their kids for help because older people were of a non internet age and not educated in scammers

It is truly heartbreaking to see scammers get away with this. Loneliness is bad enough without being scammed out of that amount of money as well. The public need to be educated to spot these scams. I don't think dating sites give enough warnings and there just isn't the awareness among older people.

It's amazing what men (and women) will believe. That a 37 year old beauty will be in love with their 65-70 year old self. Evenm if they were in fact beautiful and the pic wasn't fake, such a disparity of looks and age could only mean one thing: scammers, one way or another.

Terry Scott I agree, I worked with a women who was scammed! She was a dumpy 53 year old single woman who was contacted by a 36 year old single adonis man with a 9 year old daughter who had flown out to dubai for work! Within days he told her his daughter had fallen ill and he needed to come home but he had lost his credit cards, she sent her months wages to some one she had only know for one week! She was convinced she was in love! As soon as I see the photo of him I knew she was being scammed but she wouldn't listen she was like a giddy teenager, later we found out the photo was of a male model! These people have to take some responsibility for what happens to them! If it looks like it is too good too be true, then it is! The woman had to borrow money to pay her rent and food bills! She sad thing is she didn't learn anything from this encounter!

He probably bought one from nigeria but before it arrived it needed needles he had to pay for, then he had to pay for it to get helped out of a high tree upon which it went back to quarantine for a month, then it got stuck in a cat flap in the quarantine then went back to the vet for six weeks, then before it could come he had to pay for its feline aids jabs & had to go back to Uganda for 3 months, then it turned out the cat was really a dog

My father-in-law has spent tens of thousands with a very similar scammer. His story is almost exactly like Joe's - scammer using your pictures, she is traveling to see him very soon (which always gets pushed off for some reason), is told that there's a large inheritance, etc. . In spite of all the evidence, he still won't give up the belief that he's talking to someone who looks like you. You certainly have captured the attention of thousands of men throughout the world, though I'm sure it's not in the way you would have wanted!

I just had someone on Skype using your pics trying to say it was really her or he. I even showed them one of the pics they sent right on your Instagram account and they still insisted it was them. I blocked and reported whoever it was. I did a quick image search and found your photos in no time flat. Rule of thumb is if the pics look too good then they are a scammer.

To much sympathy for these people, it takes two to tango, they need to take some responsibility and to look at themselves and change certain aspects of their personalities, this would then happen less. This program plays all these people as victims and gives sympathy, in my view this does not help the situation.
