For Sale - 1971 ZD Fairlane 351 Cleveland V8 - Vintage Burgundy

My Dad bought one of these in 1974 second hand - he was an academic who owned an Austin 1800 prior - so go figure??? Anyway, I thought all my Christmases for the next generation had arrived - I was 17 and ready to roll - it had ROH mags and a single - large - exhaust that had a real note. Loved it and managed to destroy the auto transmission within about two years - ha ha. Loving memories.

Beautiful car in its day, and still is. A Real estate agent friend of mine had every model up to this one until he retired. All in that burgundy colour and the last one with the White roof .From memory it had a Tan interior.

The 351 Windsor was the best of the V8s. My brother had one the same colour, I think he got it secondhand in about 1975.

Had a 1970 ZD Fairlane with a 302 .It was white with vinal white roof and black inside. Miss that car .Had air shocks and i had in it a few times 15 kegs of beer for our keg party's we had back then lol .

I had aroyal blue with wihite vinyl. I young and dumb and full of c.. 😅 i was 18 it had a 351 clevland sold it one year later for 2k. Guy bought it and took the motor out and put it XB falcon. If only i knew what gold mine i was sitting on.

A magnificent vehicle...! The 351 in the ZD was basically a 2barrel GT motor. Plenty of zot and twist. Dual exhausts a worthy add on...not sure if they were an option. Ford Oz sure were on a roll,and building some good cars, this Fairlaine 500 being a great example. 😁👍

I am going to guess that you are a young person who is into the latest gadgets and maybe the latest hi- tech cars.Thats ok but an appreciation of older cars is also ok and this old Ford is a very nice car.🇦🇺
