Turin one way you would enjoy head to head campaign is by using "cost based army caps" mod which makes every army like multiplayer, you can't go over X points (which are based on land battle points) or you get nuked with 10x upkeep. So every battle will be a scrap since the opponent can take control of AI armies and make you sweat bullets. But don't play Chorfs in head to head their early game is dogpoop

The other mod that works well is the limit on amount of units each structure gets you. This doesn't fully prevent doomstacks for really late game but it does for most of it. If a dragon building that costs you 10kish only gets you 1 star dragon, it's extremely expensive to get a doomstack of them. This also ends up nerfing your total income as you end up with less income buildings due to having to focus on recruitment structures more.

I like how much you love the Doomseekers, but it seems there are quite a few situations where one could ask the question weither their speed is really that important and if they even have enough cost effective opponents to fight to invest in them that heavily. I think quite a few matches they ended up performing poorly in would have went smoother if instead of 3 Doomseekers there would have been a unit or two of Hammerers in the mix, who tend to be more cost effective in the grind.

Yeah, Turin's hype for Doomseers is a bit too much. That's a very situational unit. It's good for slaughtering white lions or chaos warriors. For some reason it's even good at taking out monstrous units (like dragon ogres or demigryph knights). It will however get obliterated by even lower tier shock troops (like forsaken or savage orc big uns) or a heavy cav (that has a high model count).

@@edwardgrzyb8591 Since Chaos Warriors are slow themselves and don't require a "quick (for a dwarf)" unit to meet them I would argue that Hammerers are still the more cost effective solution if you want to fight them in melee. But you are correct. Doomseekers look like they should be a simply unit. Strong against infantry, weak against range fire, comparably tanky for a slayer unit. But in reality every single of these properties has a huge asterisk attached to them. They die surprisingly quickly on their own charge, trade confusingly poorly against infantry units that are half as expensive and trade weirdly well against many large units. They simply behave very strangely.

Could you not use grimdelvers as the safety for gyrocopters Vs fliers? Delvers can stay hidden to ambush anything chasing the gyros and if the enemy goes hunting for the delvers, gyros are fast enough to help.

It is glorious to see Dawi getting beaten well, may given Slanesh a go in campaign, in campaign I like to turtle/trade missile which is the absolute worst strat vs Dawi. What makes them extra painful is even if you win it is costly, whereas orcs or Skaven can be routed. Surprised to not see air units, but as an aside all air units need to be tinkered with, and steam powered stuff needs a rework, a steamtank goes way too fast.

dwarf main chiming in, I missed the stream. Always have gyros in the pocket even with the nerf. It's the only mobility you have. If you bring slayers as cool as they are they always get picked apart with a decent opponent. I really wish the dawi would get some sort of cav on goats even if it's trash tier. They really need some trash mobility outside of gyros. As seen in the dawi vs dawi matchup you absolutely have to go wide and resort to your infantry carrying the day
