Wait, but this is actually kinda genius. Because the standard max Sp. Atk Mag set with Magnet only has a 75% chance to OHKO Skarm with Thunderbolt, while a Timid 252 Sp. Atk Mag has a 100% chance to OHKO with Thunder even without Magnet. And so, seeing as Thunder has 70 accuracy, the rolls are almost the same. Of course, Thunder is way less reliable after you've killed Skarm, but if you're using Endure Mag you're probably not looking to get much mid to late game value out of it anyway lol. The biggest problem with this is the 9% chance of missing 2 Thunders in a row, or of missing 1 and getting roared out without dealing any damage to Skarm, but it is what it is I guess

I've been using a lot of Dodrio offense in adv recently. Can't say it's been too successful(1450ish), but I'm certain someone whos good at choice band spam playstyles would be able to get it right up near the top of the ladder.

Can someone explain how winning or losing a game based on the flinch and miss chance of rock slide is different from the confuse on dynamic punch? You know, without functionally saying "just play something else then" or "I just don't like one". If it's the higher BP, then chill, but I have not heard that being given as the reason --like at all.

@@MagsAndMiles I wouldn't say "solely", there were a lot of plays I could have made to preserve gon's health there (and you made a lot of plays to chip down gon!). I had a feeling of last mon dd mence, and ultimately was forced to end up in a position where the flinch mattered. In the end, pokemon is about luck AND skill, and managing both is important to win (and in keeping tiers balanced).
