For the Dancing and the Desert || Desert Duo Rough Animation

I hope y'all enjoyed this!!! I have been working like mad on this for two weeks or so now and I'm really proud of it :D (Yes I know the scales and faces are inconsistent and that the wings don't make sense but shhhhhhhh look at them spin)

if you read this far, hi! Some extra details I want to point out but don't want to be loud about:
- Scar's wheels at during the cactus ring are thicker than normal since I based that off of wheelchairs that can go on sand. In this, his wheel chair can morph according to the environment so that he doesn't have to stop and change chairs (ghost Scar's isn't affected by the world so it has thin wheels)
- Scar only has a total of four scars in this since I frequently flip my canvas around and would get mixed up on which side a scar would go.
- Grian's wings are clipped during the Third Life section but then aren't for the rest of it
- Grian's sweater vest is backless so that his wings make some sort of sense
- Grian's irises are rectangular :D I always love people drawing his eyes like [] [] so I incorporated that into this a little bit
- Scar's Double Life outfit initially had a belt but then I forgot about it later on. I made character ref sheets for all their outfits but his Double Life fit gave me trouble and I ended up making that one up on the fly which is why its more inconsistent.
- Towards the end with all the key frames I had it would take like a full minute for the animation to load on csp

I love the dancing you had them do! They’re both so unique in the way they do it but using their aspects to do what they do! And the first parts where Scar comes around Grian and turns from ghost to wizard, and then the watchers come singing and his wizard cloak just poofs off and he shrugs on his animal sanctuary outfit is awesome! And just the little details of how Grian and Scar reacts to each other! Edit: I wanna find a dancing partner and a wheelchair so we can do this choreography, it looks so fun to do

I honestly don’t know where to begin with this, it’s just absolutely completely beautiful, the beginning made me genuinely start crying out of nowhere, just seeing Grian grab Scar’s hand as his ghost lead him away from his body made me so unbelievably sad, and by the end of the animatic I was laughing through my tears and clapping to the beat, it was so adorable, I love the way it phases through the of 3rd life to last life to double life, and how all throughout last life Scar is singing alone trying to get Grian to look at him but it isn’t until double life that Grian finally joins in and the music picks up, showing how Grian has finally started to forgive himself for what happened, it’s just so beautiful and there’s so many little things I could talk about from the details of Grian’s wings being clipped in the beginning to the amazing animation of Scar’s wheelchair to just how sweet the facial expressions are, this is definitely one of my favorite life series animatics that I’ve seen

I've always loved how real this moment is in the movies and you've captured it beautifully here too. Making the transition between seasons and having Scar give Grian a heart at the start of Last Life and then to their soul bond in Double Life and the way they dance together and I just.... AHHH! I just. I just don’t have words for how happy this makes me. I usually only watch an animation once. Much less three times in a row, crying every single time, without looking at the comments. Am I a little bit biased towards this song? Yes, it’s spectacular. But I’ve never seen it done platonically before. I love it even better than the original. Your animation??? Wondrous. I HAVE THIS GOOFY GRIN ON MY FACE AFTER THIS Man the sheer amount of happiness this video causes is indescribable! You did so amazing!!! I love everything about this, from when Grian clutched at Scar’s body in the very beginning, then ghost Scar leading him away, to the ‘proposal’ with one of his hearts in last life, TO WHEN GRIAN FINALLY ACCEPTS SCAR THEY BECOME BOUND BY THE RED STRING. Ugh i am so in love. Ok first of this animation is amazing and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an animation that so perfectly encompasses the dessert duo’s relationship and the song choice and choreography is just amazing. I’ve never seen someone use this song for a Minecraft animation and it fills the side of me that is a Httyd nerd with so much joy to see this scene so perfectly recreated these two. OHhhhmy god this is just wow. So beautiful and so wholesome. I have seen a lot of angst animations of desert duo. In the end they are still best friends tho, so this was such a refreshing animation for me. AND THE DANCE MOVES??!
