I tried to watch one piece many years ago but I didn’t last past like episode 3 cuz it still hadn’t picked up and didn’t have my interest yet. As someone who is on the newest episode, #1019 i can tell you this. It does take a minute to pick up the intensity, like a slow simmer. When it does though.... shit is intense and has made me tear up or get my throat in a knot. Note my username in the series. Hint: the baratie
