These are all great things to keep in mind. The tip I'd add is, focus ONE character with Gold Multiplier and then have them take all gold drops. Especially as you get later into the game, that multiplier is going to scale incredibly well. You can get the multiplier easily past 50%, so every 100 gold equals out to 150 gold looted by that one character. It works incredibly well to set up a minstrel or busker in as much gold multiplier gear as you can get your hands on. By the end of the game, you'll have thousands of gold to buy everything you need if done correctly.
