Damn first the electric and now this. You really are going all in. The only reasonable next step is to get a bass now XD. Anyway, looking forward to the fingerstyle videos now.

Love the look of that guitar. The allan wrench is usually for the truss rod which runs through the neck to allow you to adjust the action/string height via neck bowing. However, classical guitars don't usually have that atall, so I'm not sure what that wrench is for. Love the discoloration of the fingerboard and the gold hardware, looks sick Classical strings should be changed eventually but I've found they stay in tune and last far longer than steel strings

Scias that’s so great to know! Thanks so much for sharing that info with me! I’m glad to know you don’t have to change the strings as often because it honestly looks pretty complicated 😂

I have a Protege C1ME with electric pickup. Love it. I had to file down the bridge a mm to get the action right. Bought it because it does have a truss rod and in this humid country I didn't want to deal with a warped neck. Bought new after offering seller at music shop $170. Learning to play Ben Woods style now though I have played guitar many years.

In time the treble strings will get a little harder and they'll be a little bit louder. And I'll take two or three days to stretch out completely to stay in tune so just keep stretching the strings and tuning it until it keeps it soon. Hope you enjoy it it's a beautiful instrument

I just finished your tutorial on how to change strings. Is there any difference in changing strings on this guitar (the Cordova Protege) than on a steel string guitar?
@for3v3rfaithful
@for3v3rfaithful 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, classical guitars are much different when restringing, mainly because they don't have any bridge pins so you have to loop the strings in a specific way. 🙈 I've actually only done it once myself but there are some great tutorials on how to do it! 👍

Classical guitar has a wider neck. Strings are nylon. The sound of classical guitar is softer than acoustic.
@Scias
@Scias 4 жыл бұрын
Classical guitars have nylon strings and are usually smaller than acoustic guitars which have steel strings, you'll hear classical guitars in spanish, latin and flamenco styles of music and acoustic guitars in pop, rock and folk music a lot more. The sound of classical guitars is slightly warmer and less metallic, I guess you could say they sound closer to ukuleles than acoustic guitars do
@marvinmurakami8828
@marvinmurakami8828 4 жыл бұрын
Acoustic guitar has a narrower neck and steel strings. The G,B, and bottom E strings on classical guitar are nylon and more mellow sounding. The wider neck on a classical guitar gives you a lot more room for placement of fingers.

Congrats on the new guitar and best of luck in the new journey 1 - the wider neck allows for better fingerstyle due to spacing. 2 - the nylon strings sound better picked, than strummed....it sounds even better when you fingerpick minor chords (Am, Dm) 3 - you will get plenty of suggestions from the comments on songs to check out...here is a classic by Toni Braxton ...literally called Spanish Guitar kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKfHZKR5o9h0l7s Have fun!

@@유리-h5y that's right. Try changing the strings if they look old. If it still doesn't sound loud enough (keep in mind though a classical guitar doesn't sound as loud as an acoustic) make sure the action isn't too high where the strings are farther away from the sound hole than they should be.
