Darn it. Try hardwood forests. They really like growing near oaks, etc. check parks! It’s been raining a bunch so hopefully ya find a patch!

What part of louisiana did you find them. I have picked in Anderson south carolina and in spartanburg. But did not know they were here as well. Thanks

Yup! They can be found in I think most parts of Louisiana. Found these near st. Francisville, but I know folks who find them in Livingston Parish, Baton Rouge, Mandeville, etc
