My issue with these confirmations, no matter the party, is the unwillingness to just be honest with what everyone already knows. I know that the person up for confirmation knows that it would mean they are disqualified, but maybe that would force the people putting people forward to put better people forward. Beating around the bush, deflecting from the question, wasting time serves zero purpose. People can change, people can reform - but it is about action and firstly, owning the mistakes of their past. What infuriates me the most is that these type of nomination hearings are just a lame cat and mouse game, because they will ask the nominees tough questions and they ALWAYS, regardless of what side of the fence they sit on, ALWAYS deflect or give a non-answer. This type of hearing should be a moment of self-reflection for these nominees and a platform to explain how, for a life position, they are going to do better and are qualified to move forward into that position, away from their bad decisions in the past.

Let’s start by saying, there has not been a republican in office in Philadelphia in 60 or 70 years, I just want to make that abundantly clear. They can not use a cop out of any kind. Now I can speak first hand, Larry Krasner has destroyed the safety of the people and has put all of Philadelphians in jeopardy with his ridiculous ideologies. It is more dangerous now than it was in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, this is speaking volumes as I have been born and raised in Kensington, Philadelphia. But my parents never feared allowing their kids to play outside. Now being a mother myself, I’m afraid to let my children go to the store alone, if they’re gone for more than 10mins I call and check in on them. The atmosphere is so much worse now, and there’s no hope in sight. Now with gentrification at the forefront, almost all if not all are far leaning leftists, that were raised in the suburbs and have no idea what living in the city means. When swearing these applicants in, prior to these hearings, an additional line should be inserted into the swearing in process. That line should be this - "I do swear and affirm that when asked a question during this hearing that I will actually ANSWER THE F@CKING QUESTION".

boy oh boy she is quick to read the TIME, "your time is up". gotcha huh? She has no answer for anything because her record is freakin' bad its embarrassing to even speak. What a wasted career. You know something about her. She knows where the money is. She flits from flower to flower in LaLa Land picking up government money.
