I disagree, he asked heated, opinionated questions & made statements. The 33M $ salary doesnt matter the question should be what did the CEO do to deserve 50% raise? "elimitating safety procudures" and "cutting back jobs" statements that Hawley made would've been much more powerfull if he instead would have said "you eliminated 100 safety procudures" , "quality engineers jobs reduced by 20%" but sadly he didn't really do enough digging it seems.

Sounds pretty solid. He got heated because the CEO doesn’t know answers to a lot of questions a real CEO would have the answer to. This is a fall guy, hence the “I don’t know the answer to that” he replies with that statement several times during this questioning. If you’d lost a family member to a guy earning that money and actively making sure you never know why they died, you’d be heated too. He has to talk to those people, the CEO obviously doesn’t

At $33 million, would his life change one bit if he took, say $27 million, and brought salaries up. Pilots should be at 250-300K, mechanics at 150 k . . . i guarantee none are. These companies are so greedy and delusional about their employee compensation, and yet the CEOs don't have the skills to do any of their jobs and are only concerned with their own pay, and it's outrageous and not proportionate to the work they do or skills they have.

@@anonymoushypersphere9093 I'd say they don't have the skills to do most of the jobs there that they're paid 2800 times more than, engineers, architects, lawyers, mechanics, pilots, upper management, middle management. Most don't have any skills to run a business because this past year the vast majority received stock buy backs leaving their companies with no liquid assets. They have skills at lining their own pockets at the expense of the business they're charged with running. The guy running Boeing is incompetent and worse than most. But, that's why they're very vague about their job duties, which are starting with a workout and $75 breakfast at the company's expense, arriving after 10 AM, playing golf,, taking 3 hour lunches on the company's tab, sitting in a meeting where upper management reports what work they got done, meeting their mistress at a 5 star hotel in a suite the company pays for by the month, playing some raquet ball, eating a 5 star dinner on the company's tab, going home in a 2025 Rolls Royce the company paid for and then deciding if they need a 12th yacht or an 18th vacation home because the 25 car garages they have on the other 17 is getting too small, before deciding on all of the above because this year they'll just order another stock buy back that decimates their company and takes their income from 18 million to 35 million. They treat a business they're charged with running like their own personal candy store, while at low wage employers like retail and service, the government subsidizes it because the non-corporate employees all qualify for government benefits despite working full-time.

From ChatGPT What percentage of Boeings profits come from commercial aviation as opposed to military and other types of contracts? ChatGPT As of recent financial data, Boeing's revenue is typically split among its commercial airplanes segment, defense, space & security segment, and global services. The commercial airplanes segment often represents a significant portion of Boeing's total revenue. For instance, in 2022, Boeing's commercial airplanes segment accounted for approximately 45% of the company's total revenue. The defense, space & security segment and the global services segment together accounted for the remaining 55%, with defense, space & security alone contributing around 31% of the total revenue. This breakdown can vary slightly year to year based on factors like market demand, contract awards, and production schedules. For the most accurate and current figures, checking Boeing's latest annual report or quarterly earnings reports is recommended. What is Boeing global services? ChatGPT Boeing Global Services (BGS) is one of Boeing's primary business segments, focusing on providing a wide range of support and services to both commercial and defense customers. The services offered by BGS include: Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO): Comprehensive support for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations, ensuring aircraft readiness and operational efficiency. Parts and Supply Chain Services: Management and distribution of spare parts and supply chain solutions to keep aircraft fleets operational. Training and Professional Services: Offering pilot training, technical training, and operational support to enhance the skills and knowledge of aviation professionals. Digital Solutions and Analytics: Providing advanced digital tools and analytics to optimize operations, enhance safety, and improve efficiency for airlines and defense customers. Engineering, Modifications, and Upgrades: Technical expertise in engineering, modifications, and upgrades to enhance the performance and capabilities of existing aircraft and systems. Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Integrated logistics and supply chain management services to streamline operations and reduce costs. Boeing Global Services serves a broad range of customers, including commercial airlines, defense and space organizations, and government entities, helping them maintain and optimize their fleets and operations. What is Boeing Space and security segment? ChatGPT Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is one of the company's core segments, focusing on the following key areas: Defense: This includes the development, production, and support of military aircraft (e.g., fighters, bombers, rotorcraft), missiles, and unmanned systems. Notable products include the F/A-18 Super Hornet, the AH-64 Apache helicopter, and the P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft. Space: BDS is involved in space exploration, satellite systems, and space launch services. This includes the development of spacecraft such as the CST-100 Starliner for crewed missions, satellite programs, and participation in international space station operations. Security: Providing cybersecurity solutions, intelligence and surveillance systems, and networked defense systems to enhance national and global security. Autonomous Systems: Development and production of autonomous and remotely piloted vehicles for various defense and space applications. Logistics and Sustainment: Offering comprehensive support and maintenance services for defense and space systems to ensure long-term operational readiness. BDS works closely with government agencies, military forces, and other defense contractors worldwide to provide advanced technologies and solutions that meet a wide range of defense, space, and security needs. ChatGPT *can* make mistakes. But I'm pretty sure all of the above is accurate.

Back here again due to the latest American Scandal Podcast series. Every time I watch Senator Hawley I am blown away. I truly hope it’s in his near future to run for President. It’s scarily looking like the orange bafoon is going to regain power - someone who was very nearly IMPEACHED!! Just like British with a new Labour Government, we are set for years of cut backs & the little people losing again. & when I say little people - I mean those working their butts off in jobs that expect 12 hour days & are performance related. NOT people who are floundering about on benefits when they SHOULD be working. It would allow people who TRULY need financial support at times of crisis to receive a far softer place to land if we weren’t paying for those who flaut the system. I am truly scared that WW3 could arrive on British soil in the next 2 years. I have no idea what that could look like, but I live in dread. The ‘partly known’ is a worrying limbo.

I'd also be happy to pay you $32 million in taxpayer dollars if you'd cure dementia for us this week, since we'd all benefit so much more than we'd be paying you. Why don't you figure out how to make yourself that valuable to society, and then put in the time/effort/sacrifices to do it? To maximally contribute to society, you ought to figure out how to make money in a way that benefits society much more than it benefits you, and then expand that as much as possible. I'd be happy for you if you make $100k/yr while generating $1M/yr of benefit for society, and I'd be even more happy for you if you make a billion dollars a year while generating $10 billion of value to society. (though it appears most of the people in this comment section would feel differently, and would rather shoot society in the foot and prevent that $10 billion of benefit just to spite you and demonize you and prevent you from making the 1 billion for yourself) It's fair to distinguish between such examples and other examples in which the money is made parasitically without generating more value/benefit for society, but that distinction should always be explicitly noted (in words and in one's own thinking) so as to avoid petty and deleterious attitudes that denigrate personal income without considering the rest of the equation. I hope you do your best to help society to generate more value/benefits for its members. With total sincerity, I'm rooting for you!!

@soccerguy2433 Well, in this case, I would say this CEO should be charged with endangerment, conspiracy, and perjury, just to name a few.

Because at the end of the day Boeing is a company who has donated TRILLIONS to ALL campaign funds. Punishment is known to be a stern talking to and that’s all you’ll ever get because ultimately Boeing is protected. What you just saw is the bread and circus , pomp and circumstance so than can say Congress yelled at them. On to Business as usual. So when Josh Holley (who I like) is asked (when he runs for something) what did you do about Boeing? He can say we held them accountable and made them testify in front of congress. (But nothing happens)

What if you started a company from the ground up? Worked your way from small business to large business to eventually publicly traded company over decades based on your own perseverance and ingenuity. Your company is now worth billions and you are at the helm as CEO. Did you earn your big paycheck?

@@nebojsa1976 as he's salary is made up of about 1.5 million in cash, and 31million in stock options, I can assure you no other number in the world is more important to him, and he checks it several times a day. not including when at his computer as there is a live feed permanently running across the bottom of his monitor

Having worked on and crewed aircraft in the USAF. I can attest that we did use soap to lubricate parts. It was approved by the manufacturer, the safety office and quality control. If Congress would stop handing out grants, no interest loans, and subsidies he wouldn't get a 45% pay raise. All the big companies have a large team to solicit all levels of gubbmint for favors and grifts. Boeing has one of the best teams assembled, not only private sector manufacturing but DOD protection as well.

Why bother, all this exposure of corruption & nothing done about it, like foghorn leghorn rooster and the dog punching in, fighting all day & punching out, just to do it all over again the next day. Accept it, these people have won, it's over.
