The crisis hotline for vets said they can't help her unless the homeless shelters have no room or AFTER she's already been put out. This is in Hampton, Virginia!!! How SICKENING is that. This is not a young female veteran but a 67 (almost 68) yr old female vet with congestive heart failure & chronic anemia. I was shocked at the less than $600 she receives a month for PTSD & around $800 for social security. She qualifies for affordable housing but every where I took her has waiting lists for days, but illegal immigrants can immediately be placed in hotels while American citizens are facing homelessness instead of being put in a hotel to HELP THEM get out of the cold! If I didn't have children & grandchildren in this country I declare I'd become a citizen elsewhere. Lord help our nation 🙏🏽😢🪖✝️☝🏽
