@@jreneau369 there are two provisions to amend the constitution. One is congress with state approval, the other is a state convention provided in article 5 of the constitution. The state governments vote to convene for amending the constitution, then vote to ratify it. Look up the grass roots movement “ convention of states”. Once approved, congress would never get enough state votes to over turn the amendment. The power is in the people if we choose to fight for it. I think 13 states have joined the movement. I’m working in my state to join them.

Corrected, congress never created the special counsel. Congress created the independent counsel which it allowed to expire in 1999. Janet Reno created the special counsel by fiat in defiance of congress after congress let the independent counsel expire. That is an act she had no constructional authority to do. The AG cannot create a federal office. Federal offices can only be created by an act of congress.

Im confused by yhe Republican party - if they dont like the laws that are on the books... Then why not introduce repeals to the specific laws they say arent good? Also if they dont want people that are credibly accused of those crimes to go to court, then what exactly would they prefer happen...

@@JennS904 yea, credibly. After investigation and evidence is gathered by the DoJ the grand jury then indicted him based on that evidence and testimony... I don't see your point. Are the Republicans not in favor of grand jury indictments or is it the concept of a grand jury not in line with their views? Do they want to not have a DoJ, or change how they investigate?I am genuinely confused what Republicans are critical of here.
