Actually, Newsom is fine if you are a person who works for a living. My ex who is a nurse gets an earned income tax credit and her children have medical care, only due to him being governor. If CA were a Red state, the money for those things would go to tax cuts for the obscenely wealthy who least need tax cuts. Sure, there are a few things I do not like about CA, like smog checks for my vehicles that never fail a smog check, but you have to accept concessions. Can't always get exactly what you want, but overall, Ca looks out for the people that are working to try and provide for their families. Red states do not do that, they do not care about their people, only about the wealthy donors...Like Elon for example.

Governor Newsom isn't talking about about MY values!! I called his office to object to his "Trump-proofing" agenda, and when I tried to respectfully voice my objection to his plan, the person I spoke to interrupted me with a snide, "Oh, so you're in favor of the incoming fascist regime?", and then he hung up on me! And, that's the second time this year that I called his office, and the second time I was hung up on. BTW, I WAS a Democrat for most of my 65 years, but I switched to Independent in March of this year. I voted straight Republican on my whole ballot. #WalkAway from the Democratic party!

While Newsom passed final law this year to allow ALL ages of undocumented immigrants to get State health care, he also passed law to require proof of citizenship and resident for all who are legally here. Double standard! If those who aren't here legally that required is removed from them, why deliberately make sure by law that it remains a requirement, costing more time with more paperwork, for those who are here lawfully.
