This drama is one of the best BL dramas with actions and subtle romance between the two lead guys. They actually got married in the novel version.

As well done as this is, it's still using the heavily censored version. If you look, you can find versions that flesh out the characters and answer your relationship questions. Even in this cut, there's no denying the love between the two is more than bromance.

Just the opening meeting and the way he checks out his neckline, lips etc is to evident and the "why did he stick it so deep is pure fan service. Everything in Chinese bromance is explicit flirtation and innuendo. One has to be exceedingly thickbrained not to realise it's a gay romance. And sometimes it honestly makes it much better. A story isn't automatically better because of being explicit.

There are two major mishaps and tragic turn of events in this series. I watched it twice now and in my seven years of watching BLs, I have never encountered anything so heinous and so disgusting in a BL script. It is so disgusting that the writer and the director should have been at least reprimanded in real life. #ONE: she hires a team of doctors along with some guys at the school to take him to a large gym or workout room to perform a medical procedure on him. #TWO: When her brother finds out and goes down to break it all up, he is MILDLY angry at her, never stops talking to her and nothing is ever said again. DISGUSTING!!!!! If I was the writer, she would have been arrested and we would not see her again on the series.

Where is it any different than the atrocities written in het dramas? If you want to rant, rant against the mindframe that leads to crap like this getting written. She was a spoiled rotten brat, but that isn't just something limited to females. There are a lot of dramas where the spoiled brat is male. In most cases, however, they belong to wealthier families and are either the youngest or the oldest...usually the youngest or an only child... which appears to lead to the belief they can't be held responsible for their actions. You just see it written more often in Asian dramas. I guess it is more acceptable there.
