It's better for Pathfinder than a Mageblood, because it works with Unique Flasks like Progenesis.

I've been running a similar build since the second week of the league, although I eventually swapped from FR to a CoC Soulrend of the Spiral setup. The main other differences are that I use a Defiance of Destiny, Nimis, and a Cloak of Flame. I love it to death and I plan to league start PF and transition into a Mahuxotl's build ASAP next league assuming nothing changes.

Oh, also forgot to mention, ancestral vision takes the total Spell Suppression chance for it's calcs. so if you end up with some spare spell suppression gear to get over 100% that'll still apply to ele ailment avoidance. Not min-max relevant, but really helpful for gearing while completing your atlas.

Great video!!! You are my go to guy for anything pf. I have a few questions. How consistent is it to get 15xWither with only Nature's Reprisal? (assuming that's the only way to get withered). How are you getting your divine blessing skill to activate without hassle? It takes me 4-5 clicks to activate it without using any skills. Finally, why wicked pal over septic spell? In pob it shows septic has a lot of dps compared to wicked pal.

You only need one Septic Spells to hit 100% Poison chance. It's great for getting up to the cap, but then then it's actually a very weak passive after that point. As for getting Wither stacks up, it's actually pretty consistently at 15 stacks on targets you're able to cast on for any length of time. You hit with around 5 projectiles per cast, so with a rate of over 7.5 casts per second, that's around 35-40 hits per second. Because of PF's 25% chance to Wither on hit, you only need about 1.5 seconds of sustained casting to hit 15 wither stacks consistently on a single target. As for timing Divine Blessing, it just takes some practice!

Not using a Mageblood in this build, it's actually SUBSTANTIALLY weaker than with Tides of Time. TOT affects Unique Flasks (including Progenesis) and grants 100% Increased Regen from Life Flasks, so it's the BIS option for most Pathfinder builds.

Question, would it work to have cast when damage taken linked to all in the boots? Or does it need to be one that is disconnected from the rest?

Hi, thanks for the guide, I've followed it and got to level 97 with like 400-500 divine invested. The build is more than tanky but I feel like my damage is a bit low in T17 even though my pob says I hit dot cap when all projectiles hit. Can I send you my pob somewhere and get some help? Figuring out prices of things is one of the more important aspects of learning to play PoE. It will function without Progenesis, but you will want to farm up one of those as the first big thing you do once you have the build online.

i'd say you can get it off the ground for around 40 div without the most expensive items. The most expensive items should be the wand (20-30 div), watcher's eye (10-20 div) and the rare ring, but have good cheaper alternatives (except progenesis, of course).

@@xXMaukiorXx You can absolutely drop the wand for dark seer which is about 6 div with +2 life but you can get away with +1 life for only 2-3 div. Watcher's Eye is not required to get it going, more QoL. Baseline price tag could probably be as low as 9-10 div, that's what I'm playing on mine as I level it to 100 and get currency, especially if you have eldritch currency and can roll most of the implicits yourself as well as modify the tree to take Magebane + Profane Chemistry to skip the expensive spell supress rares

The tankyness of this build is insane, I could easily tank all ubers (but T17's can still be rippy, they are so overtuned). I have tried Defiance of Destiny as the neck to help with farming strongboxes in T17's as there is just so many things that can hit you at once with that map strat and that works really well, but you do lose out quite a bit of damage

With Tainted Pact in the amulet slot you can ignore the damage from Annihilation's Approach as long as you are leeching.

You will need to get Leech from somewhere, such as Gloves implicit, and you can't Leech above 50% health due to Petrified Blood, so it's not a perfect fix, either.

Is the chance to poison on hit with gloves mandatory to have?

You have to get poison on hit somewhere. You can get in the passive tree, on rare jewels, from cluster jewel notables, as a Haunted Gloves suffix, or as a Gloves Implicit.

I have your build. How do you deal with those stupid random monsters that turn off your flasks?. I died in a tier 17 yesterday because in the hot of the battle didnt notice that some random stupid mob turn off my flasks with an offscreen arrow and died inmediatly. It was just one little monster in the middle of hundred of monsters with a bow that put an arrow with a skill that turn all flasks off.

Run, pretty much. There's not a great way to deal with them as a Pathfinder, and they are straight-up evil. At least they're not very common!

Like the build!!! but my dmg seems is lacking , missing 2xMedium clusters, but my hit dmg is 1/4th of your current PoB, with not alot of variance in terms of gear etc. Using a non aoe guise and ashes instead.

That's around -4 gem levels, possibly more. That and the medium clusters would make sense. Those seem like your next logical upgrades!

I maanaged to pull this build together - really enjoyed that process but I did wonder how it would survive moderately juicy T16s - and the answer for my 'budget' (15Div-ish) build is "it doesn't" So I sold everything I had and bought a Progenesis and - yup - that's the defence - it's really non-optional once you're past 'white' T16s - well, unless you find more defences elsewhere To give you an idea - I went from dying quite a lot in moderately rolled T16s to facetanking the Minotaur - that's how much that flask changes things... The fact it cost 3.5x the rest of the build so far is slightly painful but my other build has a Nimis which is 20 times the cost of the rest of the build :)

The original version running Dark Seer & Annihilation's Approach is the budget version. This is a build that requires a lot of overlapping uniques in order to function correctly.

How do you get 90% fire res and 88% chaos res? I stay capped at 88% fire and 83% chaos. Also (maybe because of this reason) my EHP is at 187k, with max ele hit at 113k, max chaos hit at 102k. I can do ubers, and some specific t17 mods, but still it feels like something is off. Thanks in advance!

I've been too lazy to buy a replica dragonfang and instead have been running Defiance of Destiny instead and a modified tree that includes more reservation efficiency. I got rid of Petrified Blood and have been running Purity of Elements to both top my fire rez and be ailment immune. The boot hate is real though and I've thought about getting rid of them as well.

Can you not use tainted pact amulet with flask mod dmg to you leeches as life and all dots int eh game become healing for you?

I've tried this out extensively and it's definitely worth considering, but it does rely on a few things: 1) The flask mod only applies to hits from monsters, and not from hits generated from FR. If you are using any items that provide a source of self-poison or "all damage can poison", this can be counter-synergistic. 2.1) You can use this to allow constant healing by self-poisoning via the Golden Rule unique jewel, but this can cause issues if poison stacks are are applied after you start leeching, or somehow last for longer than the maximum leech duration of 5 seconds. Your leech duration is reduced if you have a proportion of this as instant leech, with 10% instant leech reducing this to 4.5 seconds. 2.2) The only way to guarantee not quickly dying from poison effects is to take advantage of the Maw of Conquest unique helm. This has a significant opportunity cost when compared to a decent crafted helm. 3) The flask mod isn't always necessary for this, as you already have vaal pact from the shield, allowing for overleech to reach the max 5 second duration. I'd say that the amulet is definitely synergistic with any build using divine flesh, as this does let you ignore any elemental or chaos DoT when you're actively in combat. It also works incredibly well with Annihilation's Approach, as you can ignore the DoT for as long as you're actively leeching in combat. This would be a very good early-game option if you (somehow) have a Mahuxotl's Machination, but can't afford Ashes of the Stars or Dragonfang's flight.

@@SlayzerEx Life and Mana flasks are the only ones that don't have the option to automate normally. I don't understand why that is the way the game is, but it's unfortunately the one downside of Master Surgeon builds: remembering to hit life flask every 4-6 sec depending on type of flask

The core of the build are the uniques(Body, flasks, Jewel with Rakiata, Shield). You can start with progenesis but you won't feel as tanky. I did this build before quitting league and its pretty much immortal but kinda also felt like an overkill sometimes.

You can go amethyst flask if you don't have max chaos res. The problem is progen is giving u like 50%+ increased max hit so you won't be running t17 or juiced content without it. Also this dudes build is running low phys max hit so you will be getting randomly slapped imo.

Yeah, a magic Amethyst flask works for farming t16's like no problem. T17's will be possible, but more risky.

Last thought: Ashes of the stars is still one of the best neck options for FR builds IMO, as long as you're leveraging the skill gem quality mod. The damage is lower than using replica dragonfang, unsurprisingly, but you get some serious QoL: 1) FR Projectiles up from 10 to 13 - more life recovery, more poison instances etc. 2) 50% increased CDR on Immortal Call and 100% increased CDR on Enduring Cry (which means you have a longer uptime with both endurance charges and the immortal call buff before immortal call eats up the charges. 3) Petrified life loss over time goes from 74% of the prevented hit (29.6%) to 66% (26.4%). 4) Extra 5% or so chaos res reduction from despair. I'll probably aim to get ashes when I run this build next league, and just make up for the reservation efficiency loss by essence-crafting my helm. Still love this guide, thanks!

It does take 4 passive points, but dagger mastery grants 8% more damage with hits AND ailments on poisoned enemies. That should get you another 729,945 per projectile, or 3,649,725 per 5-proj volley. Also gives you 5% increased poison duration, or 6% increased movement speed, depending on the node you go for.

Yeah, the two small passive Poison DoT Multi nodes are worth 2.3% each, and Swift Venoms a little lower down is worth 2.4% each for 3 points, so the investment for that mastery just really isn't worth it. None of these are all that game-changing, you can make up the majority of that damage difference just by upgrading Exarch Implicits to Grand or better, and a Graveyard wand that's better than a multi-modded one will absolutely get you over the cap, as well.

Can this be played without progenesis? Trying to get this going on SSF. Have the shield and belt have a +2 wand etc but I can’t seem to kill Uber Exarch/Uber Maven/Uber Sirus so looking to make something new to be tanky enough with enough damage to do that content.

It can, but it will be less tanky. A unique-heavy build like this is going to take a lot of effort to put together in SSF.

Run replica sorrow of the divine sulphur flask and have pathfinder master surgeon node. And if you have this and can't use flask on full hp problem is here: you need your flask to do something other than heal, if you see on his pob he has corrupted blood suffix meaning when he uses his flask it will trigger the search for corrupted blood as well that is why it allows him to use it, if you want to run other suffix like avoid stun or whatever u will need to get flask mastery recover 4% of life when you use a flask so you can use it even on full hp.
