I love forbidden romance!! My favorite trope is normally bodyguard/protector romance:) Good suggestion if anyone likes that is Enemies of the State by Tal Bauer. It is an m/m Secret Service agent with the US President! Soooooo good! Also it is on KU. I really like the dynamic of boss/assistant too, but haven't found many that I love. The best one I have come across is the Risky business series by Tiffany Snow.
