Akai is crushing it right now. I bought a maschine+ and was going to sell my Force, just cant do it. Then today happened. I've already sent NI a request to deactivate the Maschine+, keep an eye out for it on Reverb:)
@EulogyfortheAngels4 жыл бұрын
I’m currently researching these devices - what drove you away from the Maschine?
@hasan77864 жыл бұрын
@@EulogyfortheAngels Not Maschine, Maschine+. In the box, its annoying to create drumkits with their tag system so you kind of rely on the expansion groups which make it feel like a preset machine when i have a ton of samples ive collected and grown accustomed to. The expansions sound good, but they are way too overprocessed so everything sounds like someone else made your beats if you want any sort of original sound. The FX are garbage, even a simple delay, beat delay, is like WTF? The instruments are like "wow, i have massive in here" but then you realize that you will not be programming any synths in there, let a lone finding an adsr to add some release to a FM patch. I do like the way it deals with sounds/samples. I have a lot of external gear so sync recording is great, lay out 16 tracks on the pads and just arrange within a group, each pad becomes a track with maybe 2-4 bar loop from external gear. Its better than the force in that regard. But when im using it, it feels like a big step back although the workflow flows nicely. But i hop on the force and i have a daw in a box, grant it, it has so much so its not really a learning curve, more like where's waldo to do things. Button combos, menu/ arrange, back and forth. But out of the 2, one is for expansions and preset fx and one is for deep sampling and manipulation.

Thanks for sharing all that Hassan, the Force sounds dope! I have a long background with NI since MK1 days but very much considering Akai bits more & more. I think I heard somewhere though that you can’t export individual stems (or songs can’t remember) with the Force is that true? I’m thinking to combine the Force (Song Arrangement & Vocals) with the Live 2 (Drumming & External Instrument Sequencer) SP404 (Sampler FX processing) >>>>> Daw Mastering..
@hasan77863 жыл бұрын
@@gonzwav6800 you can export stems, kind of. Each stem would be a track. So if your drums are all on a single track, that would be the full stem, all the drums. So you could just blast it out with individual tracks per drum. I didn’t. I just went with it and mixed with a sort of drum buss. If I really needed those tracks separated, I believe you could just solo then and export the timeline. Might be more work but if you already have a beat and just need to mix, put the time in I guess. But for sure if you have 3 tracks and export audio as individual tracks, you’ll 3 stems.

I just looked at this video. And my mind got BLOWN UP! What superb effects and manipulation of EVERY part of the track. Remember the XR-20 Beat Production Center? Which I have to this day. Can the XR-20 be synced up with this device? Luv the video and the explanations of what was coming up and being done.

AKAI TEAM we need a real lfo plugin from randomize is just to slow and menu diving and not that much option, layer is to much menu diving, just a plugins could do that, be able to randomize any parameter we want and get a bit more crazy, start time and every parameter we want like delay feedback or timing or reverveb decay for exemple with out burning the cpu.

Slightly misleading title. The “song” is created in the clip view, and then a recording is made into the arranger. Not clear if you can actually create songs in the arranger…

Why would Akai go through all the trouble of creating such an awesome piece of equipment, just to drop the ball, with near-zero instructional support? There are too many rabbit-holes, not enough videos, and the videos that do exist are completely impractical, fragmented, and poorly realized. HEY AKAI, YOU GUYS NEED TO HIRE BETTER TEACHERS. HMU in a week after I figure this thing out on my own.
