Dear it is the atmospheric force acting on fluid which restrict the flow of fluid so acting in negative direction

Why have you taken (-Fx) in the equation and then adjusted to (+Fx)? Why not take (+Fx) before only? Kindly explain.

Reducer is nozzle or we can say which connects two pipes of different diameters.
