Sir please solve this question : A pump draws water from a reservior and delivers it at a steady rate of 115L/s to a tank in which for free surface level is 12m higher than that in the reservior. The pipe system consists of one pipe 30m length of 225mm diameter with friction factor f=0.028 and another pipe 100m length of 150 mm diameter with friction factor f=0.032 both arranged in series. Determine the flow rate 2s after a failure of the power supply to the pump , and assume an incompressible fluid in rigid pipes with friction factor f independent of Reynold's number.

Sir for kinetic energy per second for the above derivation mass flow rate is taken as rho×A×V but not rho×A×(V-u)....Why is this?

Because here we are talking about moving plate and in term of moving plate we are considering relative velocity so relative velocity of the moving plate is (v-u) v is the striking velocity and u is the moving is the moving velocity of a plate so row*a*(v-u) for every moving body with respect to relative velocity, i hope now u understand 😊
