I even used the safety bars to do seated calf raises, just push your bench closer to the bar and use a squat neck pad for knees, get a box for toes start doing raises. It's a awesome stretch for your calf!!

That’s an awesome idea. Thanks so much.

Hey Stevie, I've had the G3 for 3 years now and we love it. I've noticed the cable pulleys will drag or not operate as smoothly as they once did. I'm planning to spray it with some silicone spray to better lubricate the pulley system. Might be something to mention in your next video about maintenance.

Thanks. I’ll definitely cover that in the updated review.

Has anyone figured out a way to do dips on this machine. I saw someone take 2 45 lb Olympic bars and set them on the squat safety bars which looked pretty good, but I don't have 2 45 lb Olympic bars.

Hey Stevie. I’ve been wanting the G3 for years now, and now with the Gen 2 I don’t think im going to wait any longer. My concern is that the new Gen doesnt have the safety bars for the leg press attachment. Do you know if they Gen 1 safety bars can fit in the Gen 2 model of the G3? Thanks for all your detailed reviews, it’s incredibly helpful!
@StevieRichardsFitness Жыл бұрын
The safety bars for the Gen 1 leg press attachment are not compatible with the Gen 2 G3. However, the overall improvements and upgrades for the new G3 offset that IMO. If you do decide to purchase the G3 or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie

Thank you for your response!! So the Gen 2 is using the calf raise method as well now? Also do you know what the weight for the actual trainer is (with no weights put on it of course). They say the shipping weight is around 370, but what is the weight of the actual unit alone?
@StevieRichardsFitness Жыл бұрын
Yes you would use the calf raise method to get in and out of the vertical leg press. I’m just making a guess from my past freight shipments, but the boxes and pallet are usually 20-40 pounds depending on the size of the equipment.

They should have this on the other ones as well, all the way through the 20. having to do the calf movement to rack especially as you go up the weight progression is a pain in the butt.
@StevieRichardsFitness3 жыл бұрын
Yes the safety bars are pretty amazing when compared to racking it the other way.

I noticed you had your legs kind of narrow. How does it feel with a wider stance? Better range of motion? I have the G3, thinking of getting the leg attachment for it too.
@StevieRichardsFitness2 жыл бұрын
While it is a little less real estate than something like the G20 design, I’ve never had an issue with going wider on leg presses. If you do decide to purchase the leg press attachment or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie

Hello is the smith machine bar suitable for 28mm discs?
@StevieRichardsFitness Жыл бұрын
Are you taking about 1” plates? Yes you have to remove the sleeves with an Allen wrench and it can fit the smaller plates. If you do decide to get the G3 or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie

This seems like a requirement for the leg press. I have the g15 and I don’t feel comfortable going heavy as-is, like you mentioned, with the calf press locking and unlocking method.
@StevieRichardsFitness2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I can’t safely go as heavy with the G15 leg press as opposed to the G3 safety bars design.

Do you notice additional pressure on lumbar area with this? I'm trying to find equipment that can train legs around the bulging disc injury to my lower back in addition to belt squats.
@StevieRichardsFitness3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t felt any at all. The angle and how far underneath the vertical leg press helps me not feel that pressure.

@@StevieRichardsFitness thanks for the response, I havent been able to get many opinions on this since my coaches have never had back injuries.

Hey mate, is it possible to use this attachment on the f100?
@StevieRichardsFitness3 жыл бұрын
I’m afraid not. The F50 and F100 don’t have the holes for a leg press attachment. It would have been great if they did though.
