I'm 46 too, been listening to them almost my whole life. My earliest memory is from 1984. They played "Just Can't Get Enough" on the radio a LOT where I lived, throughout the decade.

A lot of samples they used came from the factory libraries, especially the E-II libraries and they also used a lot of synth presets. If you have the gear it's not difficult to duplicate the patches but it is brutally time consuming. Also, Andrew Wilder did most of the sound design and sampling and he sold off all his gear a number of years ago along and the samples went with the gear along with whole libraries so it's all out there if you can find and get it. Still, when I close my eyes I'm amazed at how good they are.

Ich bin kein Fan, obwohl mir vieles aus den Achtzigern und Neunzigern von Depeche Mode gut gefällt.Mein Mann dagegen ist langjähriger DM-Fan. Ich wollte ihm eine Freude machen und für die diesjährige Tour zwei Tickets bestellen. Denn wer weiß, ob man das Duo nochmal live zu Gesicht bekommt. Aber nix war’s, für Leipzig ratzfatz alles ausverkauft. Also kurzerhand 2 Earlybirdtickets für FTM gekauft und Frust geschoben. Dann noch mal geschaut und letztendlich Tickets für München ergattert. Vor nunmehr 3 Wochen ab ins Olympiastadion. Und es war toll. Klar, der gute alte Dave kommt in die Jahre. Und das macht sich natürlich stimmlich bemerkbar.Aber da war ja noch was😊KZbin auf und Forced To Mode reingezogen. Es ist einfach der Wahnsinn! Wie Gahan in seinen besten Zeiten! Der gleiche klagende Bariton, die gleiche Energie, den gleichen Hüftschwung und man möge mir verzeihen: Ein ebensolches knackiges Hinterteil. Wenn man Christians Silhouette sieht, könnte man meinen, wir haben tatsächlich wieder 1993. Es ist schon fast ein bisschen unheimlich. Aber für Ghosts again ist´s noch lange nicht an der Zeit! Das möchte ich dann doch lieber live hören.Also Jungs, weiter so! Wir sehen uns in Gera☺️

2019 in Braunchweig gesehen und gehört. Absolut fantastisch gewesen. Dieses Jahr im November nach Braunschweig zum FtM. Ganz ehrlich.......lieber 1000 Leute mit guter Sicht etc bei FtM als nach Hamburg ins Stadion um das Original zu hören. Bin damals so enttäuscht von dem Hamburger DM Konzert gewesen.

Wonderful reinterpretation. There is some playback (I usually don't like this). When the guitar riff started, I thought this would be a full non-playback performance - I thought OMG, are these guys going to deliver this fully live? It would have blown my mind. The singer has this "Dave Gahan" Devotional period - the looks and vibe - which we all love. Forced to Mode is very very on par with Depeche Mode. I really admire Forced To Mode's work. F2M seems to carry the mission to eternize the pleasure of the Devotional Tour experience, because not even Depeche Mode can do the same anymore (just check their video of a Barcelona 2009 live show and how Dave's voice suffers...).
