AM is great, but it’s a rebrand of Racing Point and they weren’t as good as the Force India days. I hope they can get there again, but, claiming they’re faster than Ferrari is crazy.

I agree! People expect Daniel and Lando to get along like BFF because both of them are "jokers," but that's just not how relationship works. Meanwhile, Lance and Seb are pretty chill as well as AM's work atmosphere, and I think that's why they seem to get along pretty well. edit: wording

@@guide4740 yea but McLaren's environment was very much not the best until Lando and Carlos became drivers and since Zak Brown took over.....right now Daniel and Lando aren't getting along like we expected but they do work well as team mates and keep the environment healthy

I don't think Lando and Daniel want to get comfortable with each other because of what each has as an objective. They have a professional relationship and that's it (or at least it looks like it). Lando now wants to be the next big driver at Mclaren. Daniel won races and so doesn't want to lose to Lando and (somewhat) lose ground in the team. So it's a tricky situation and they both seem very defensive towards each other. Carlos and Lando worked very well because they met as new drivers in a new team to both of them, none of them were established at Mclaren. Lando was starting so he had nothing to lose, Carlos was experienced but not scared of anything, nor he was seen as a "Ricciardo" (multi race winner). Also, Carlos is the type to get along with anyone and be chill about it, just see how with Charles it works as good as with Lando, socially speaking the guy is naturally friendly.

@@The_Curious_Cat they are surely mates because they do work well together....they are a strong line up....in terms of mentality Daniel and Lando both have the same objective.....perform best and become world champions...just like carlos did but Carlos is a guy who approaches you in a friendship and Lando is probably the one who takes what he gets nice.....and Daniel seems like that too....they do really work well together, we don't see it but McLaren's results prove it
