If we want to get real technical the MP4-12C is the first model under the name McLaren Automotive, which is their road car division. The F1 was under, believe it or not, their F1 team. if you look well you see that most brands that have regular cars never release any supercar, they have a sporty family/luxury car at most. BMW has none, Audi only got the R8, volkswagen has none, peugeot as well..etc Same goes for supercar brands, you dont see them release an average car cause that would kill their credibility and prestige, imagine lamborghini releasing a cheap family car everyone just drives around with to go grocery shopping, wouldnt feel that "exclusive" anymore

The first Porsche car wasn’t the Porsche 64, it was the P1 (Ferdinand Porsches first car ever built) built back in 1898. Though if we’re talking commercially sold vehicles then it’s the Porsche 356 back in 1948, confirmed by the company themselves. Porsche even claims that the Porsche 64 isn’t even really a proper Porsche because it was only used by the Porsche racing team and was never sold to the public.

Kewl video, but I must mention that the company that built the Patent Motorwagon no longer exists. The Mercedes-Benz company came into existence in 1926- and their first car was the 24/100/140. Yes, they were a merger of Mercedes (built on the bones of German Daimler company from 1901 onwards thanks to Wilhelm Maybach and Emile Jellinek) and Benz thus the company claims the heritage, but it is not technically correct. Which is the best kind of correct I've been told.
