I'm very glad that both *Glenda* and *Rammasun* were retired and taken off the list. 15th of July, 2014 was an unforgettable and quite traumatic day for me and my family, as we had to go through one of our very few near-death experiences on that day. It was also difficult for me to go through as I just recently just had my 9th birthday a week before it traversed through the Metro Manila area. It's a big relief to know that Glenda has been replaced, because this 2022 season, PAGASA will be using the same naming list that was used back in 2014.

Fun Fact: When Vongfong reached C5 status, it was given the PH name Ompong. Then in 2018, Mangkhut was also Philippined Ompong whilst a C5. My point: Ompong really liked Category 5 Super Taifū status… Also in this season, TPE (Ruby) had the audacity to scare the Philippines, and Lingling was like Megi this year, because it was deadly and had the name Agaton. So Agaton has a deadly past. And the Typhoon Rammasun, which for some reason whenever I hear the name, I always think of Ramen Noodles…

Typhoon Rammasun(Glenda) devastated Northern Samar, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Metro Manila, Bataan and Hainan Island. This is also the first storm that got me in weather. My experience: Strong winds and gusts blew as I woke up in the morning and I was 9 years old that time. No electricity for 1 week!

I went downstairs to eat breakfast and I remember my cousin telling me if I wanted to swim in the flood xD Then I remembered also having to move our stuff upstairs because the flood got in the house

Actually, weather observations show it was high end TS or low end Category 1 when it passed Manila. The JTWC estimate was too high

Typhoon Rammasun made the only category-5 landfall recorded in china. The next closest record would be Typhoon Saomai in 2006, making landfall on eastern China as a high-end Cat 4

I remember when the eyewall of typhoon Glenda hit Northern Samar, it was like getting night because of the strong winds. After the wrath of that typhoon, I found houses without roofs and debris are everywhere, trees have no leaves anymore because of the very strong winds. Even our school didn't survive the wrath of this typhoon. And also Hagupit (Ruby), before it even hit Eastern Samar, the winds was already very strong and the rain that lasted for 3 days because of its slow movement

Typhoon Hagupit(Ruby) got my nerves because weather forecasters predicting it will be supertyphoon up to Metro Manila, but due to slow movement many weather agencies make their own tracks. Unfortunately, it was still devastating storm even if it weakened because of how slow the storm is.

When kammuri's eyewall hit northern samar, everybody expected that its wind is not strong. But when around 3 o'clock i saw a person evacuating and got hit by a flying roof of a house, and the winds that we felt was haiyan-like.
