I think what happened is: The herbivores initially had motivation to go onto land - to get away from the sharks that would prey upon them, whereas the sharks had no such initial motivation to go onto land. As the herbivores found safety on land there was a food shortage for the sharks, so they evolved to eat the oceanic plant matter as opposed to evolving to follow their food source onto land.

*FAR FUTURE* Scientist: And here we have the landshark. Very closely related to the ocean shark as seen in this this ancient fossil. The ocean shark went extinct thousands of years ago due to... a, um, giant weird human god who decided to get rid of all of Earth's water for some time to see if the landshark could become a thing.

Best video of this series yet. Really liked the cinematic moments sprinkled within the gameplay footage. Idea: Yin and Yang world, one half frozen tundra, one half lava hellscape. I think that's possible with the temp controllers right?

Can he mess with the weather as well? Because having an eternal lightning storm and lots of ice would lead to something interesting.

*Removes water* All sharks go extinct in an hour because they have no lungs. And even the ones with enough oxygen in their blood to survive one hour would die because their skin will dry up and so their body. RIP sharks.
