Experimenting is a understatement it’s engineering, just adult Lego blocks

I agree with you that more people need to be doing it, but all this kind of stuff was done every which way more than a hundred years ago. The cutting edge of experimentation isn't usually in the realm of the home garage (but there's always exceptions)

@@saint-AU No, not really... Barra is a 24 valve DOHC with VCT. It's easy to make HP with a Barra. I'm talking about the OG 2 valve pushrod 4.9L inline 6. Heck it didn't even have a cross flow head.

Just Golden! I grew up when Wally Booth was 'stacking' AMC head castings to get airflow and Bruce Sizemore was furnace brazing 351 Cleveland head segments together for his 300 Ford - I thought all of that became a lost art, thanks for bringing back REAL engine building skills!

Check out another skilled KZbinr by the name of Allen Millyard. He's done a number of awesome motorcycle engine builds, like turning two kawi i6's into a v12, or two inline 3s into a 2 stroke i5

@@RChero1010 I've seen them - they're impressive enough, - I have machined and built several inline four cylinder snowmobile engines over 1000CCs from two and three cylinder snowmobile engines - but the type of work required to develop both vertically and horizontally sectioned cylinder heads was just "magic" to watch, especially at that time (early '70s)

I’m not a ford or mopar guy. I’m a Chevy guy but whenever I see videos of people modifying ford blocks to run ls heads or full custom jobs making ls heads work for a six cylinder I absolutely am intrigued and wanna watch and see if it goes successfully and I also hope it does work successfully.
