Ford 309 2 Row Planter

I like Ford tractors and have looked at a few 309's, most are pretty pricy. For what I do my IH 4 row planter is very capable, hard to just change for the sake of change.. I also have a bucket full of different plates for it too.

I had one of these paired up to a Massey Ferguson 245. Used to plant field corn and “Kandy Korn” sweet corn with it. Def took me some time to get a couple acres planted but she got the job done. Mix up some Atrazine in the homemade barrel sprayer, long as the water was flushed out of the control valve and didn’t freeze and crack it was a smooth planting season

That's a sweet setup ! It sure beats my Earthy push planter lol I have planted acres with it over the years . Thanks for sharing !

the plates in front of the seed dropper, have you tried just removing them when not in use - maybe extend the life a little longer?

If you ever take those fertilizer disc's off to replace bearing that would be a good video. I'm curious to see. I like how you used screws rather than rivets

I’ve been looking for a planter like that for sweet corn. Did yours come with row markers?
