Ford 8210 ploughing a bit of steep

We have the same tractor, the 8210 is a good tractor the biggest problem is the braking system, the brakes are immersed in the hydraulic oil, therefore all the stuff from the brakes get through the entire system, leading to the tractor taking the dual power clutches out, best advise is change oil very frequently and at first sign of slippage flush the entire system.

we mechanics at its time found the wet brakes one of the best parts of the Fords . But you are right, with dual power usage a lot it could be a problem. on the other hand we had never a problem with it and the drain plug is magnetic. yeah sometimes there was about 1cm all around metal....no problem :-) They had a lot of oil inside. could be that the 7810 had more hydraulc oil inside ?

Lovely video, very clean example of an 8210, I just love the sound of that 6 cylinder engine, is the exhaust a 40 series type with the box under the bonnet or is it a strange pipe? The black mudguards on the cab look good too, it gives it a look of an 8630.

A beautiful tractor but it must have been uncomfortable for the operator with that level of engine noise.

??? omg, he sit in a cabin !! i drove day after day tractors without any protection or cabin ....after 6hours in the evening yes the air cooled engines made me hear a bit less than normal but hey...get a beer and saussages for the next day !

This 8210 has 2 assistor rams rather than the usual one which you would get as standard
