Pretty damn good man. Mine is bent at the end on one Piston rod. And broke off on another. Got my hands full. Wheel lift issues.

You might find that the actual ram rod is actually inside the chrome plated tube

Just bent a hydraulic rod like that one, but worse. Might be able to fix it using that method. Thanks for the idea

did this fix last a good while or no? same issue with a tow behind backhoe/trencher from harbor freight and they don’t carry the cylinders anymore. they were 120 bucks... sucks

Why would you want to straighten the cylinder? It's Not bent. The ram, or piston rod is bent. You could straighten that. Marty T has a video on fixing a bent hydraulic ram.

what about the nicks on the ram? big money for a new cylinder..?

I have another video in this series where I fix those nicks by cleaning and filling with JB weld. it's a cheap but fairly stout fix.
