So FCA adds a Hemi and it's so special. Bull crap. FCA has little to no R&D other than adding a Hemi and calling it a new model. Not fast enough. Why would you buy a jeep for speed other than wanting to flip it while off roading. I'm guessing you would purchase a Pacifica if it had a Hemi. Ford hit a home run with the new Bronco. The Sales numbers will prove my point even without a V8. If I want to go faster. It would be in a vehicle designed for that purpose. Not a Jeep.

One of the engineers already mentioned on a car and driver magazine article it does not. Only Hennessey and couple others will modify them with V8 and will not be cheap.

I've come to realize that unless I'm hauling a lot of stuff or using it as a work vehicle....there's ZERO need for v8 in general for ordinary people who don't do big hauls...need it as a work truck or live in the mountains. Everyone had their own opinion but I never got why some peoole get so caught up on v8 or v6. The v6 is a very capable engine as well

The SEMA fenders look so much better. That was the main part of the new Bronco design that bothered me... the curved fender arch. These new SEMA fenders look great with the squared angles, and without flares make it look even better!

First, was international Scout 80/800 and then Bronco followed 5 years later. Bronco did it better with a 289/302 and better axles. I love them both. Biggest problem with the new bronco. Too freakin' expensive with any decent options.

Seems to be cheaper than a new Wrangler, tho. I’m torn between waiting for the new Bronco vs. getting a slightly used Wrangler. I’ve never had an off-roader before, so I still have a lot of learning to do before I commit. Any recommendations? I know people love 4Runners, but I’m not crazy about how they look (I’d rather get a Tacoma, but my wife hates trucks).

Hummer has certainly taken a bit of Bronco's momentum and it certainly will have its buyers. It's debut sort of immediately revealed Bronco temporary weak point, not currently offering an all electric version. And this is sort of astounding becuase just a decade ago no one would care a lick about a new bronco being electric, but now that we've seen EV performance specs, and the overall push to EV its no longer just a gimmick or fad, its a real fast growing segment that matters in the production lineup of a vehicle. Now Hummer will not be no where near the price range of a Bronco, but without the Bronco currently offering an EV powertrain option it not only begs wonder what type of extra performance could be had with EV power, and more over has opened the door for GM to quickly capitlized on its mistake with the Blazer and re-reinvent the blazer as it should be, and get some handme down EV power from its Hummer sibbling. And GM could do this quickly since at least half the work is already done thru Hummer. Ford must get an EV bronco in the works asap.
