This is definitely a great idea as that is quite a large area to have just exposed painted metal like that. I know with a lot of Toyota products they offer door sill guards as an add on accessory that you pay extra for. Great video 👍

I put the same one's on my Bronco. Very flexy but seem quite durable. I did notice that the doors are just a bit harder to close (lower rubber seal butts up against the sill overhang), but its not too bad.

We didn't notice it at first, but you're right. It is a bit harder to close the doors, but not an issue once you adapt to it. 👍🏻

The biggest issue is it interferes the lower door seal. Also it’s a frameless window, I’m not sure if it will cause any damage to it since every time opening the door, there will be pressure on the glass. I might get some OEM style door sills just in case any damage to the glass and other window related parts 😢
