Some of the changes to the options are good but some key items were changed, which in turn will create some huge price increases depending on your build. My 1st Bronco was the '21 Outerbanks which I loved. But, I wanted the Hard Top so I got a new '22 OBX. The '21 Soft Top cost me $46K the way I had it spec'd. With the '22 I added Leather Int., Hard Top, & Rear Tailgate so my new price was $51K. BOTH had the 4-Wheel Auto option included w/ Rear Locker. But now in 2024 the 4W-Auto is NO long a solo option. For me that's the most important option. So now you can only get 4W-Auto w/ the SAS pkg. So for me to buy the same exact build, a '24 OBX would cost me $11K MORE than my '22 which is insane.

I totally agree with the frustration over 4A. Ford sure loves to take away options!

Have had my 2022 2-dr OB with the 2.7 engine for coming up 2 years and it's been flawless! I love the V6 power and it GOES when you want it to. I am leasing mine but might considering keeping it after the lease is up. The only 2 things I don't like is the wind noise at highway speeds but that isn't even that bad unless it's a windy day. The other issue has been with the subwoofer buzzing. I like my music and driving highways I have to turn the music up to drown out the wind noise, only to get the buzzing subwoofer noise. I had it in once and they added more insulation material around the subwoofer but it didn't work. Now there's a TSB but I was told they don't do it unless it's needed.....LOL, it's needed. Aside from those 2 minor things, I love the vehicle.

I think I'd still prefer the 4 over the 6: 1. Less costly. 2. Can get a manual. 3. Only one turbo to maintain, not two. 4. I'm assuming less maintenance shop costs as there would be more room in the engine bay to do any work if you needed to. 5. Metal oil pan vs plastic.

Right on Matt. Good luck and do t forget to inspect it closely before driving away. That way if there are any paint issues or issues with assembly the dealer can claim it without any issues. Once you leave its impossible to know if its a pre existing issue or caused by owner so tough to claim at times

FYI. A similar packaged Badlands is actually slightly more expensive than the same packaged Wildtrak. So not necessarily a deal. Just depends on if you prefer the Badlands sway bar disconnect, or the Wildtrak Hoss 3.0.

Great point Peter.
@Johnnyscarcarereviews7 ай бұрын
But I think the Badlands without Sasquatch and 2.7l is a great deal comparatively speaking g to the wildtrak as it comes in thousands less expensive. Say 74k Canadian vs 82 or 83k for the Wildtrak

Would you still recommend soft top over hard top? Thanks
@Johnnyscarcarereviews8 ай бұрын
Yes. Love the soft tops I've had and there more practical. If you never plan on taking g to top off to enjoy some sun then go hard top as they look great.

I’m debating between wildtrak and badland. Sasquatch on both. I hear Sasquatch on badlands is higher. Is cloth seating an option on both? I’m usually a top off person I don’t want to burn
@Johnnyscarcarereviews3 ай бұрын
No cloth. Marine grad vinyle is good and the Badlands sasquatch is more capable with the sway bar disconnect but the hoss 3.0 on the wildtrak is more comfortable and better st high speed offroading

The Ford dealership keeps recommending a fuel system flush as a standard thing to do to remove carbon build up on the valves. I have no issues and 40,000 miles on my 2.7L with port and direct injection. The 2.7L with dual injection was a big reason I avoided the 2.3L. I am assuming the carbon build up will not be of concern for quite awhile. They claim no knowledge about the benefit of port and direct injection regarding carbon build up. I assume they are just trying to get me to spend more money.
@Johnnyscarcarereviews9 ай бұрын
As an insider I was told the addition of port injection was to resolve the carbon build up as it acts as a revention using port injection when idling cold and as a cleaner. Great added information on your part. Thank you. Your help is appreciated. Some commented that it is stupid that I should mention dual injection as a benefit of the 2.7l.

Cloth seats should be an option on all broncos. Top down you’ll burn!
@rvnb10279 ай бұрын
Interesting he points out the 2.7 is port and direct injected and that’s what makes it better. I could also say things like the 2.7 has a plastic oil pan and the 2.3 an aluminum one so the 2.3 is better. Both are dumb arguments. The 2.3 hasn’t had near the problems of the 2.7. For the minimum power and torque advantage you get from the 2.7 I’d opt for the 2.3. That and a real bronco has a manual transmission and that’s not offered in the 2.7. I don’t know maybe he can’t drive a manual.
@Johnnyscarcarereviews9 ай бұрын
Good point about the oil pan. Early 2.3l in the focus RS had problems but the 2.7l is reliable but it too had 1 issue in a batch of valves causing a severe problem but other than that the 2.7l is reliable. I do love a manual but that doesn't work for my wife. The F150 2.7l have been reliable since going to both port and direct injection. The Most Common Problem With 2.7 Ecoboosts: Valve Guide Defects (2016-2017 Models) 2.7 EcoBoost engines built from April 2016 to January 2017 have a significant defect with the cylinder head valve guides. This defect allows oil to leak into the combustion chamber and burn off. They are now very reliable. I personally like the low end torque of the 2.7l but to each there own. We can disagree and still avoid attacking the person.
