It would be nice to have a more compliant ride on the street. The JL is a pretty big step forward from the JK, but this new Bronco is beautiful and can still do the rock crawling. @Andrew Sully Well what statistics are you using to prove ur point? The ecoboosts are extremely successful engines. I am a hardcore V8 fan but Consumer Reports,JD Power survey, and a whole lot of 3rd party reliability surveys are out there and most of em are free, just go and check em out before jumping into a conclusion. Infact the Ford 3.5l ecoboost has been rated more reliable than a GM 6.2l V8 by CR and JD too says the Fords ecoboost engine reliability has been above industry average and on par with NA motors . The best part is since Ford has pushed ecoboost engines so much unlike any other US automaker (Ford is the only US automaker who got balls to sell over 66% of their product line up with turbos, GM is 48% and FCA is 40%) the supply chain is extremely strong and parts have got extremely cheap over time. A full turbo assembly replacement for a 2013 Ford Fusion 2.0 turbo costs just 1 day job and under 2000 USD considering VW costs around 2800;GM around 2500.

@@sooperknob Agreed, the JL is a JK with some fancy tech and rounder corners. And yeah there hasnt been big innovations on wrangler for a while but that's because they have spent the last half-century refining the best offroad design so that Ford can rip it off, lol. The JK has pretty much been perfected and every single issue with the JK has been ironed out with an upgraded part or workaround so I cant see a huge departure from the regular Jeep design. It looks like that fire under FCA has already been lit as theyre teasing the V8 Wrangler- this is truly game changing and will stomp the Bronco if FCA actually comes through on this. I realize my Jeep bias is showing but all that being said, I really like the Bronco's slick and stout design (even thought it looks like a Jeep), love the tech, love the GOAT modes, and really think ford hit the mark on the design and aesthetics.... shoulda put a V8 in it though.

My current wrangler is a severe example and clearly a lemon and every manufacturer has bad apples. What really bothers me is I have purchased 3 new wranglers since 2000 ie a loyal customer. The FCA refuses to take the wrangler back under the lemon law even though it’s clearly the situation. My local dealer has even been confused WHY the FCA is fighting this. That squach package is going to add a bit more of a price. Now get water in that turbo and see what happens. Now take away the squach and the size and numbers tumble alot less than 9" of clearance and much smaller tires so there is that. Torque is God if it is naturally aspirated. Turbos do not do well with water. And I have had my jeeps over the hood in water with a 5" lift. No real issue besides having to change the air filter. You take water into the intake turbos and that thing just got real pricey. And the risk of a hydrolock aswell. If it has exhaust turbos then fine whatever. But not everyone pulls a tape measure out before hoping into the water hole. You might need to with the bronco.

Absolutely love this all-new Bronco! Never have I seen a vehicle that was just universally accepted by nearly everyone and I am very impressed that Ford was able to keep that "retro" styling, yet incorporate so many modern amenities! Let's be real here, the Jeep is still the king and this vehicle has yet to prove it self, however, it does have a pretty good shot of dethroning the Wrangler JL. Furthermore, what I like so much about the Bronco is that it doesn't really look like a toy, it actually looks like something that is tough and rugged and I can't really say that about Jeep. Of course, the Jeep is a very capable vehicle, but I feel a bit feminine when I get in one. I feel like this is more to my taste! Furthmore, I feel like Jeep brought this on themself becuase they're were so many years that vehicle had absolutely no competition and I am very surprised that there were so few innovations to that vehicle when compared to the Bronco. When I look at the features on the new Bronco, they are setting a industry standard for what these vehicles should come with. Some of the features that I love are the rubber floors with a drain plug to hose out the interior, marine grade vinyl seating so you can actually get them wet, a first of its kind storage bin for the doors and a multi-piece hard top! (me and my girlfriend went to Puerto Rico for spring break and we rented a JL and you wouldn't believe how heavy that top is to take off and you literally cant store it anywhere...). It's nice to see that there are more options on the market now besides the Wrangler!

Just be aware that Ford has a serious flaw in their automatic transmissions. You can't push it from Drive into Neutral with an open palm in an emergency. Rather, you have to push the shift lockout button on console shifters, lift the column shifter up, in order to get the transmission from Drive into Neutral. But then, you risk putting it directly into Reverse. Jeeps or Rams or other FCA products do not have this problem. Agreed on the innovation by Ford for the new Bronco!

Anyone find this quite biased towards the Bronco? First off, comparing a trim level with 2" larger tires and giving the win to the bronco just due to a few angles despite the fact its wider and taller. Toss a set of 35's on a wrangler and redo the math Roadshow. Engines as well, taking the clear winning diesel away due to a price charge, plus anyone who knows anything about off-roading knows that the low end torque is all that matters, you don't off-road at 3000rpm which is where these turbo 4cyl's actually make their power, yet the v6 3.6 makes its torque starting around 1500 rpm...

It would’ve looked far different had you placed 35’s on the Rubi, something that can be done without a lift (or even more lopsided, gone with 37’s and the factory approved Mopar 2” lift). Who needs a Sasquatch? Lastly, wider and longer is not a plus for those who intend to use their new ride the way it was meant to be driven. See you on the trail?
