One of my favourite from GT Legends after the Detomaso Pantera; although it sounds a lot different here. In that I could've sworn it was a V8 but here it almost sounds like an F1 car! Would I be right in thinking the V6 is half of a Cosworth V12 F1 engine (or were those V6s as well?!)?

No, this is not half an F1 engine. This engine was completely rebuilt on the basis of the 3 litre Ford V6 Essex. Bored out to 3.4 liters, cylinder heads with 4-valve technology and overhead camshafts controlled by timing belts, short-stroke crankshaft, dry sump lubrication, Lucas injection system and single ignition coils. The engine is called the Cosworth GAA and was ordered from Cosworth by Ford in the early 70s. Mike Hall was in charge of this project at Cosworth at the time. I don't know of any 6 cylinder N/A engine that sounds angrier than this one. It can rev up to 9000 rpm and nowadays produces a good 450 hp......... however, Cosworth's own specification was only 415 hp....... for whatever reason
