Unless you my age, most Americans don't remember the Checker Marathon. They made Taxis between 1960-1982. There was a automobile! They had to be tuff as most were used as Taxis while also sold to the general public. Hold six passengers, plus two jump seats, wide doors making it easy for anyone to get in or out of, loads of truck space, most had small blockV-8 engines, latter models had Chey engines. They had roof racks could tow a good size trailer. repair parts were reasonable. Interior was well appointed. Maintenance was easy to work on. Sadly the last Checker made was1982. Many taxis were driven 1,000,000 miles

None of what you said is true I have seen the Ford capri and it is for the European market only an Australian market I’ve also seen some of the other cars you have talked about in the Chinese market and none of these cars are earmarked for the US market

250 hp is reasonably powerful. The 3.5 liter V6 in the last Taurus was only 288 hp. Slight decrease, probably not noticeable.

The Ranchero will not make much of a difference, not enough market demand for a truck this small. The Maverick is as small as consumers can realistically use. Any incremental sales will be minimal.

Excluding the pro/con arguments, for EV, it still reverts back to what sells, what stays the manufacturer, at present, it is NOT the EV, like it or not, it is a fact!

I Have one in my 24 Escape and it is Not Underpowered. And the Gas Mileage Is Outstanding! It will Easily Peak over 40 MPGs on solid Highway Driving. I previously had a Mustang Ecoboost with 310 HP. I was shocked at how much power the 3 cyl has!
