i drove this piece of shit and it almost killed me on the interstate. it decided to develop a mind of its own and shut off as i was next to a semi. power steering also shut off and i almost couldn’t steer away in time. oh yeah, it was a 98 with only 80k miles. ford stands for fucking outrageously ridiculous design. never forget that.

you must not have taken care of it. I have a 2000 ford contour and its got 78,000 on it. everything works great. all Maintained of course. i have the v6. I use to have the 4 cylinder when I was 16. now i have a c280 and the contour.

I tried to take care of it always changed the oil and stuff like that plus you have the V6 and that is SOO MUCH better than the 4 cylinder it's pretty bad that my work van was sportier than it.
