Got my brake booster replaced couple weeks ago. But I noticed sometimes my brake lights would stay on. Frustrated because I took to shop to get replaced and my brake lights would occasionally stay on. I watched this video went out there to my suv followed your simple instructions and now I believe the problem is fixed. Thks a lot. God Bless.

Thank you buddy for making the video! I pulled the pedal up to get the pin inserted and heard a snap. I was looking all around for the broken piece of pad or button and saw nothing. Wondering what happened to cause the gap until I watched your video.

98 Olds 88: Brakes had Whoosh/Whistle. Got Booster replaced at shop. Then intermittent brake light Stay Ons. took it to shop 3x ( It won't act out at shop). Shop did 2 new B. Switches . Still interm B lt Stay on + once the Dash Lights went crazy & cd not start car so towed to shop. This recent time got new Die Hard batt cuz they didn't know. Still episode of brake lts ON. Now after parking, the Gear shift is Stuck & depress B pedal makes Whistle. If I can get it in Drive, will take it to shop with your vid, so they can see - it is Not just me (a 75 y/o woman). Systems can have lots of moving puzzle pieces. Thanks for your vid so I know it's the inter-relationships.

Worked perfectly I also used pliers to pull the pin when it wouldn’t pop out but it’s great now

If you have an updated version of an Edge but similar sensor, the itll back wings right under the blue ones also need to be popped back under the blue wings. Thanks for the video tho, got me 90% of the way there

If letting it snap out doesn't reset it you'll see two black tabs sticking out of a slot you should be able to turn them counterclockwise and they will reset it

Not sure, are you saying the brake peddle is stuck or the plunger on the switch. Are the brakes working properly?

I just tried it and it didn't work for me :(. I bought 3 other switches, including an OEM from Ford and none of them work. Only the original switch works but my brake lights are on since the black tip is too short.
