Ford Expedition vs GMC Yukon - The Pros & Cons of Both

Had a 2019 Yukon. Recently traded for a 2021 Expedition platinum and love the Ford so much more. Power, smoothness, features etc. Much more vehicle than the Yukon. I did get the XL Expedition though.

Does the expedition steering wheel and infotainment system feel cheap? That’s my only hold up in 2020

The steering wheel itself is very nice. With that said the controls on the steering wheel are not as nice as the GMC. So if you are willing to pay a little extra the controls are nicer on the GMC. With that said though for the touch information system its kind of a wash as both have features that make it stand out.

Its personal preference. I preferred my 18 expy(same gen expy as vid) over my currebt gen dads escalade and rental tahoe. I dont like the buttons on back of wheel, and the rubber buttons felt bad, didnt have good feedback and needed too much effort to push

What about the ride big difference one has independent one had rear differential with shocks or air shocks depending which model which one rides better? think the ford would be smoother with the independent rear suspension

I don't know but the GMC yukon lx slt rocks my world, already own a ford f150 king ranch, but my YUKON gives me a car like ride 😋, and than again the expedition to me gives me the impression of an unfinished business (look)

There are some features you said were missing on the Ford that really are there. For example, Sirius TravelLink has the radar map you are looking for. Not being snarky, but read your owners manual, its all in there.

You have to pay extra for that the weather channel app has it free on GM.

@@TheBreakdownWithLuke Mine came with a free five year subscription. Longer than most people keep their new cars now days. Small point, but there were other minor points as well. overall good review though. I wasn't trying to be negative, just trying to give the whole picture.

Huggge gm guy so I’ll always lean with the Tahoe or Yukon. But I have to say the expy feels bigger and slightly better than the 2015-2020 gm suv. The expedition drives similar to a ram In my opinion

If you've driven both, it's not even close. The Expedition drives and feels far more premium than the Yukon. The Expedition is faster, larger interior room where it matters, better quality leather, more features, and drives and rides like a dream.

Im surprised you thought the rear had more cargo space. I def didnt think so, there was nothing i couldnt put in my expy that i couldnt put in a tahoe. Also, the travelink app has weather, etc as well. We rented a tahoe while my expy was in the shop and she hated it.

A Tahoe is a lot smaller than a Yukon XL.

@@TheBreakdownWithLuke yea but you said yukon, which is the same as a Tahoe. Also you said you drove a yukon xl and max so i figured your yukon was reg length, as i figured youd get a max if you did. Uf uou did get a max, then yea it makes sense as max versions have less space than xls in the rear

2021 yukon addresses almost all of the negatives you brought up. Expediton infotainment needs a redesign

@@tcus142 I would go with the expedition for 2018. It has a spacious third row. 2021 and 2018 virtually the same. I have. 2003 expy. Getting the Yukon
