2013 F150, but instead of my front doors, it's both rear doors! Grateful for your video to finally show me a better way to get the water out than to just shake the door back and forth until whatever was blocking inside came loose and the rest of it runs down my driveway. 😂

I bought a 2018 F150 a year ago. For the first time last week I noticed my rear passenger door sloshing with water when I opened it. I drained it. I though I had left a window slightly open or the door hadn’t been closed tight. Again today, after a car wash the same door has water in it again. What I want to know is how can you stop it from happening?

Same with 2017 Expedition, though its a plastic tab instead of the rubber plug - but same deal. Found this video after the fact just to see if anyone else experiencing this problem - and...yep......just Google the problem and you'll see tons of Ford owners with the same. I have NEVER in 40 years of driving had a vehicle ever do this - weird design. I've also seen plenty of folks posting they've simply pulled those plugs out and never replaced and there's never been a problem - so I think that's what I'm going to do!

Happens after a big rain or after I wash or rinse the car windows. My car is old so the window seal isn't like it used to be (black rubberpiece that is between the glass and black molding).

Yep, my Ford F150 has water in the rear driver's side door....thank you, I will be doing this. The only time I would be really concerned is come winter, because if the water freezes and expands, it could really ruin the door!!! NO WAY!!!!

One would think! But I really think they designed it for the water to get in the door and drain out. Which is crazy but I think that’s the way they made them to be. But I’m not sure

My 13 silverado does this too, only on the passenger side back door. After a good heavier rain, I drained about a gallon of water out of it. I've been trying to figure our how to fix...

Mine does that. the question I have is where is it coming from. I've checked all the seals they seem fine. It didn't used to do it, but now every time it rains I hear sloshing. those little holes get plugged up with dirt and debris (i guess).

After I looked into it a little more I really think they are designed to have the water go in the doors and drain out the bottom. But those little holes get stopped up and it won’t let the water drain out. The only way to help it I guess would be to check those holes regularly and try to keep them cleaned out. Its a common thing . All vehicles get water down into the door when the seal on the outside of the door at the window becomes damaged or dry rotted . Water gets down into the door . Just keep the drain holes clean of debris and it won't stay in the door and rust out. Common on all vehicles and usually drain holes are never clogged so nobody ever notices it . That's why manufactures put that drain hole at the bottom of the door . Yours just seem to get clogged up with debris and won't let the water out . Keep a check on those drains and keep them clean.

I'm driving a 2019 Rav4 Hybrid and I just recently started hearing water sloshing in my rear driver side door. So far it's just the one door, but it's annoying. I worry about interior rust in my door.

My truck has certain doors that are worse then others too. I would definitely check your doors to see if there is a rubber flap to let the water drain out of it. and I would also recommend you check them all after it rains and drain the water out asap. this should help prevent them from rusting!
