Those engine bay panels sure do look nice! Can't wait to see these with that patina finish!
@SalvagetoSavage3 жыл бұрын
Mikey Rolls is a patina paint master. Watching him paint match patina is honestly crazy. We'll be touching on his paint process a little bit on this build too!
@deeremeyer17493 жыл бұрын
New "engine bay panels" for improved "looks" and then "patina painted" to look "old". You bet. Of course the reality is the "engine bay panels" hide all the ugly details necessary for the "Coyote swap" AND as "custom body work" help justify the probably $50,000 "parts and labor" bill to "swap" a $1500 junkyard engine into a $1500 "work truck" and the $10,000 spent on the "power adder" necessary to make sure the "good customer" can "blow the tires off" on a 4000-lb "Ford truck" that's basically a "drag car" under the "body" and has stupidly unnecessary "upgrades" IF it were anything but a Ford "classic truck" and could be "upgraded" instead of discarded and replaced everywhere its "obsolete" and was when brand-new.

That's a pretty bad ass pick'em'up truck. I've dreamt of building something similar for years.
@SalvagetoSavage3 жыл бұрын
Hell yah brother.
@deeremeyer17493 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Go use it like a pick em up truck or even a stock Ford F100 lightest-duty "work truck" and see how long that "4-link" lasts and the "600 hp" supercharges junkyard engine stays "cool" with all those "engine bay panels" and electric cooling fan(s) and an automatic transmission and box-mounted "heat exchanger". That thing has about as much chance of staying "cool" and out of "spark knock" in Florida heat and humidity and "12 pounds of boost" as its "4-link" does surviving 10 miles of "towing" or "hauling" anything heavier than a MoPed.

Great work 'love what I see" 'love the 70ts F100. I remember as a kid my sister and I went with our dad to pick up a brand new 1978 F100 and the sound of turning on the ac 'that air belching sound" and the new car smell; it's as if I can still hear that sound and smell the new car smell. Now I'm big in the game and looking forward to build one of those in the near future.
@SalvagetoSavage3 жыл бұрын
This is one of those trucks that gives you those nostalgic flashbacks every time. We have our interior episode coming soon. It'll have that new car smell for sure (but it's definitely not going to look like a stock 70s truck!)

Just found this build, looking forward to binge watching. FYI - 305's and 11" wheel will fit factory tubs. We are planning to run 315s and 10.5" on our F100.

Okay, which one of you pissed in Deeremeyer1's cornflakes? 'Cmon, fess up! I watch a lot of these channels, I'm a gearhead. Doesn't matter Foreign, Domestic, etc. It's about seeing something interesting and seeing what other people are doing, and maybe learning something. I'm doing a '33 Ford Vicky and a '69 F250, and I've gotten a whole lot of really bad ideas from channels like this! Can't stand the "Me Too" thing with Vehicles. If I see something that is of a safety concern , I'll chime in and politely comment on it, particularly in the Welding and Cutting arena. I won't comment negatively on anything artistic, choice of equipment, etc., because it's not my build. What is it with people that have to bad mouth a shop for doing what the customer WANTS, and is willing to pay for?. At the end of the day, what the build cost is between the Shop and the Owner, and is nobody's business but theirs. I've watched three or four of the videos on this truck so far, and I think they are some of the better ones out there. You keep it short, entertaining, and informative. Keep it up! Oh, and if you ARE getting those Dent Sides and Coyote's for $1,500 apiece, please sign me up for ten of each, because here in NJ, you ain't touching an old Bump or Dent in good shape for under 5 to 7 grand. And a descent Coyote swap setup is going for about the same...Cheers!

Why not stick that old body on a 2021 F-150 frame? IMHO putting that much time and money into making an old truck better is not worth it. I would rather go for a true frame down restore or just buy a new truck and throw a turbo on it.
