eBay sells the handle now for 25-35 bucks. I just bought one and it’s way better quality

Just thought I'd give you a follow-up. I just plastic welded my handle and I have those same pointless notches in the base handle and my power windows do not run through them.

They make the design cheap on purpose because they know it will break eventually and you will have to shell out a lot to get it fixed with the same crappy part. My driver door grip broke two years ago so I have just been pulling the door closed by the plastic pocket/door cup holder part.

Mine is a 2016 and the whole handle broke off so I’m trying to find a way to fix it without having to buy the whole panel 😩

I would suggest getting the plastic welder at Harbor Freight for $17 if you have one near you. You can also add the Gorilla Glue epoxy for added protection, but for like $20-30 for the entire fix it’s probably the cheapest solution out there.

How do you pull the handle away from the door panel? I took out the screws but it seems to be held on by something else

It should only be the two screws.

I’m trying to find that interior part not the cover. Mine literally broke in half and I don’t have the broken part. What should I do ? I keep finding the cover for it but it’s the bottom piece that’s messed up in mine. I have a 2011 one.

You’ll have to find the part. It may be inside of your door panel. Or you’ll have to go to a junkyard and pull one off.

Do you know what size those star screws were or is there only one size?

I don’t know the specific number for the torx screw. They go by numbers so for example T2, T4, T6 (as far as the bits are concerned.) But to be honest if you have a local Walmart they sell screwdriver kits that have basically every size torx screw bit for maybe $10-15. I already had the kit myself. It’s a good thing to have around in general, I would make the investment. This is actually the one I have. A T25 bit for Deck Screws will fit, about 80 cents at most hardware stores
