Ford Fiesta ST 2014 Top Speed Run

Wintertires on the wet Autobahn cause a bit of wheelspin at low gears but this is a top speed run so not very bad for a 1.6l.

Thts exactly right for a mk7 st had 150mph out of mine racing a seat leon cupra 2010 reg and tht was shifting for what it was Shure they r 235 bho or something but he was struggling leaving me

Best stuff.. that explains the nice acceleration being stock. I'm a Fiesta ST owner myself from Malta. The best we have is 98 octane here.

+Charalambos Nas My ST accelerates similar to 160km/h. I haven't checked 0-200, in your case 22s is very impressive, because some MP215's do it slower :) What dimension of tires do You use?

+skylinedrag yes I know and that's probably because of the tires. I got 195/45 R16 for the winter from Pirelli.

+Charalambos Nas I use also 195/45R16 but from Nokian. I have noticed that on lighter sparco 16"and narrower tires the car accelerates slightly faster.

L'overboost dura 15 secondi, ma ogni cambio marcia parte da zero o sono 15 secondi dal primo kickdown? Non ho capito bene come funziona

L'overboost dura 15 secondi dalla terza marcia in poi appena affondi il pedale dell'accelatore a giri bassi (dai 2000 giri circa). Una volta che molli il gas torna all'erogazione normale. é seplicemente un boost guadagnato con un pressione turbo maggiore gestito dalla centralina.

@@AeroXTMOfficialPage ok. Ma se mollo il pedale e poi lo riprendo rimanendo in terza marcia, in teoria dovrebbe riattivarsi l'overboost. Non è che hai a disposizione un plus di pressione ad ogni accensione credo. E se mappi? Rimanere oppure viene tolto? Grazie

@@alessandrocarrara3233 No, se molli gas torna alla mappa originale. A detta di ford serve per agevolare il sorpasso: ergo, se sei in sesta e schiacci giù tutto, ti aiuta per 15 secondi a prendere i giri. Se mappi te la disattivano perché avresti i valori dell'overboost sempre.

@@AeroXTMOfficialPage ho capito.. quello che mi sfugge è quanto tempo deve passare tra un accelerata in sesta ed un altra persona riavere l'overboost attivo.. e poi non dovrebbe incrementare anche la coppia quindi? Sei molto gentile. Scusa se non capisco

​@@alessandrocarrara3233 Essendo l'overboost gestito dalla centralina, probabilmente quando si alzano troppo alcuni parametri, viene disattivato l'effetto per evitare problemi o rotture. Per quanto riguarda la coppia, ovviamente si, viene innalzata anche la coppia. Fiesta ST: da 182hp e 240nm a 197hp e 290nm Fiesta ST200: da 197hp e 290nm a 215hp e 320nm Spero di averti chiarito le idee 👍

Weird, I've never seen that on mine (2014 Canadian/USA model) and I've driven in -20C weather. My car doesn't even tell me when I'm low on, or totally out of windshield wiper fluid.

+Crankshaft Rotator the road is flat but the winter tires help a lot and also my ability of quick shifting

It's actually 197hp in overboost which activates under hard acceleration. It also makes a LOT of torque for it's size and is factory underrated.
