I wish you would of went in depth with the wireing of the tweeter and crossover. Cause with the tweeter, the wire that comes to the tweeter and door speaker is a split signal from what I know right? So does it matter how you wire up a component set? I have mine only wired up to the door speaker and it have a inline crossover and just goes right up to the tweeter without useing the stock tweeter wire, i didn't use the wire coming out for the tweeter for anything, or should I have not done it like that? So I would lose the quality of the music signal? There isn't very much online about it and wanted to get your input on it.

It depends on how you're running your amplifier or what setup you're running. If you want to do it the correct way with a crossover and Tweeter you just wire up the crossover to the Tweeter and the woofer and just use the woofer input as the input into the crossover. The reason why I did it the way I did was because I'm controlling everything from my amplifier but that is a much harder way to do it.

@@octanetvchannel so would a passive crossover set up and going off that tweeter stock wire and the mid bass wire be better wire set up with a amp, then a inline crossover and only going off the mid bass wire since it's a split signal? So the way you did it makes it to were you have more control to single out each singal for when you put in a dsp or something right? And Im going to set up 2 amp set up for the all four doors and subwoofer, but in my custom focus I put components in the front and back seat, I went with all kenwood products, So I wasn't sure what was the best way to wire up the components up front with that tweeter wire with the split singal...any more input on it deff helps to get closer to my dream system..thank you

I believe but I would have to look at it again that there is one input wire into the door but it just splits off with one going to the Tweeter and one going to the woofer. The Tweeter has a built-in crossover on it so once you remove the Tweeter it it takes that out of the process. If you want to do it the safe way I would take the woofer wire and run it as the input on a crossover in the door and run the mid off of the mid part of the crossover and the Tweeter off of the Tweeter part of the crossover. That is the safest way to do it. I definitely recommend doing it this way as well unless you're planning on controlling everything with the DSP. Even with doing the DSP what's going to happen is you only have one input to the door so you're going to have to run another wire into the door to separate the Tweeter. What I did was I used that input as my woofer and tweeter but with having a crossover on just the Tweeter when I control it from my amplifier it controls the mid or woofer with the amplifier crossover but the tweeters protected with the inline crossover

@@octanetvchannel that is a very smart input thank you so much for your time, there is not very many informational videos on Ford Focus audio upgrades like this one that goes in depth at all, and that signal split in the door always had dout and questions about with components and crossovers now being able to be amplified by the amplifier at least with Kenwood's new crossovers, I mean I could bypass it all by the rewiring with all new speaker wire but who wants to do all that ya know. It's not like the speaker wire in the 2014 focus se is bad or anything. So thank you for that insightful input and taking the time to respond greatly appreciated. One last thing I wouldn't mind inside on is your opinion on high-res upgrades with kenwood, do you think it's worth doing? Will it make a big difference in the focus? I only run all kenwood products in my car and it's been a hard topic to find online with good insite from a expert like yourself.

@@Dman9377 Kenwood is good but for the price you can definitely get a lot of other brands that are well worth the money. We sell Audio Dynamics and it is absolutely amazing. I'm going to be doing more in-depth videos on this car because we are doing a tremendous amount of audio and fabrication in it so definitely stay tuned because we're going to be doing a lot of videos. Those videos all go way more into depth
