I have a 2013 1.6 tdci 115cv titanium. I have had it for 10 years now and never a problem. Fantastic car, it took me every where, engine is elastic and consumption is superb in the long distance trips. Love my Focus

I have Ford Focus MK3 1.6 TDCi Econetic 105hp+chip=140hp I noticed that most MK3 have that not good looking radio system. Mine has Sony radio system. Im just wondering, why is that? But there are two things. 1. Cabin temperature sensor (located on the driver's side, near the right knee, under the plastic). Climate control malfunctioned. Blows either maximally warm air or maximally cold air. There are two options for repair. The original sensor is around 200 euros. But I resolder the contacts of the sensor - it worked for me. 2. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOCUS and KUGA owners - Check your trunks inside where the spare wheel is located. As well as the floor in the back of the cabin (stick your hand under the carpet, on the driver's and passenger's side). If there is water or moisture in any of these areas. You probably have a leaky body joint (where the roof connects to the rear fender under the trunk lid, near the lid hinge, there are two factory seams). The seam sealant dries and water seeps into the cabin. And you may not see it. I noticed this during a very very heavy downpour. The damage can be repaired with - Wurth adhesive gasket or Sikaflex adhesive gasket. But yeah, everything else is perfect.

Yeah i bought a 2013 focus and a week later I started realising the water in the trunk which had eventually made its way into to cabin and the rear carpets were soaked. Initially i took care of the plastic vents behind the rear bumper which had really crappy seals and the inside had sound insulation which was soaked in grimy water, so now after taking care of that it seems like it fixed the problem. But also as you were saying i noticed some cracks in the body joints on the roof so i put sealant there too. I have no problems now but im yet to re-seal the trunk joints which have the crappy and cracked oem sealant. Other than that, great car!

Hi I don't own it. However I think it's worth buying. I'm only aware that the powershift automatic transmission has issues (not sure if it was available for the 1.6 tdci). For good information on other issues join a ford focus club on facebook and you will find everything you need to know.

The best is to try one and check it yourself. It did not bother me at all, but some say if you once see it you can't unsee it ever.

What is your fuel consumption? Is less than 5l/100 km easy to achive?

I would say 5l avg. but you can go under 5 easily outside the city.

I'm not sure the badge is the only difference but it's based on that. One of the (not many) pretty solid modern diesel engines.

It's 2000 at 120 so definitely more. My guess would be 2300-2500 but why does it matter? Totally in the comfortable zone for the engine with the long final gear.

@@petrolpete3907 , is good for the engine and dpf system to drive constant with more then 2000-2200 rpm.

@@calinlaurentiu7886 No problem with that at all. In fact it might help the engine to clean itself/regenerate. Using it constantly on low rpms especially when the engine is cold is what kills engines slowly
