@@Jeremy-ff3jm MK3 doesn't drive half as good. It was the first global Focus for the US market and it shows. It was no longer a drivers cars. Mk1 and Mk2 were fully European developed models and it showed. Even a basic 1.6 Mk2 drives better than any new hot hatch today.

The MK2 was a fantastic car all around. I used to have a standard MK2 FL Focus for a few years, the RS was always a fever dream, hahaha. Absolutely love that car.

Too bad I didn't live closer to you bud, because you would've loved my 1997 EJ8 Civic coupe. I had the bottom end assembled at a local machine shop since they're known for building high horsepower race engines and the block needed machine work, but I assembled everything else on it. It had a 1.85L DOHC VTEC engine (known as a LSVTEC, or non-VTEC bottom end with a Civic Type-R PR3 VTEC head) and it had cams, oversized valves, springs, retainers, a Garrett GTS3582 dual ball bearing turbo and at 34 psi with a 1.06 exhaust housing it made 709 whp. The car was meant to be a 99-01 Civic Si clone, so I painted it in B95P Electron Blue Pearl and it had Integra Type-R Recaro seats, black carpet with Si floor mats, an AP2 S2000 digital dash that was fully functional thanks to the conversion kit, I flocked the entire dashboard and center console in blue and black, and it had an Integra GSR transmission that I modified with an Integra LS 5th gear (for higher speeds), and a modified OBX LSD. Man do I still kick myself for selling it.

Does anyone know if the Ford St/RS had the same gearbox (M66) as the Volvo T5 with M66? I need to find a shortshifter for my Volvo T5.

Don't know if the shortshifter fits. But the gearbox is indeed a M66 from Volvo. This car shared platform with some Volvos. C30, s40-2, v50, c70-2.
